I went through both of them, cleaned and tested all the diodes, voltage regulator, brushes, bearings,connections, etc.. I have around 6000 watts RMS and I will have 3 of these soon. I have heard some good things about the CS144's so i thought I would give them a try. I am going to make a bracket tomorrow. Every other car here in Houston has some kind of audio upgrade, and the junkyard is a good place to find stuff. $3 dollars a speaker, whatever size. barros57 Posted December 27, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 27, 2010 Well my charging voltage was pretty bad with the shitty stock CS130, It still managed to put out 14.4 sometimes, but it was usually around 13..then it fried the bridge rectifier because it was constantly charging (the heat-sink design on cs130 alts is terrible). Thats a really good idea about the speakers and stuff, I saw a few cars that looked like they had some big 3 upgrades. I will check that out next time I go. It was a huge pain in the ass to even find those alts with 2+ feet of snow on top of engines. Dam you Minnesota. I am still trying to figure out the dual alt setup. Some door panels can be such a pain in the azz, they just refuse to get ripped off. I carry a flat screwdriver, my small screw gun (very handy) and wire cutters.
