Preciate everyones help for narrowing it down for me Naw dude take your amp apart ,run a new remote wire ,its your ground,your amp is shot ,ARE YOU GUYS SERIOUS??????? Most of you have no idea how to properly diagnose a problem ,you had this guy running in circles ,buy shit he didnt need ,telling him his equipment is shot when it wasnt . A few of you actually know what you are talking about ,for the others that dont .Keep it to your selves .Anyone that wants to properly diagnose a problem ,your gonna need some tools .A DMM is a must( you can get one pretty cheap ,you dont need a hundred dollar one) A tone generator is a very cool and useful tool( you can get one for like 20-30 bucks).A test light is a waste ,that light will turn on with very little voltage ,plus you can damage parts of the electrical system in your car,including computers and airbags . Team808 Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 do you have a multimeter open up amp, look for burnt shit. also take GOOD pics of board. or you could do what we said and take it out, open it and take pictures... okay going to run a new remote wire, give that a shot! have you tried hooking up a remote to another source? try different speakers. and mp3 player again. if it doesnt work then, then the amps are toast...somehow. i garentee you its a ground honestly Alright fellas i found the culprit, i bought the new alpine x303 head unit. You might have helped(or hurt)many people by fixing their problems( BUT AT WHAT COST?)I will never keep my mouth shut lol .I did not say you did not have knowledge,I just said you dont know what you are doing when it comes to diagnosing.You keep telling people to take their amps apart to see if something is wrong.Nor did i say or mention anything about people that have lots of money know more than people who dont. Now i am no shrink or socialworker ,but it sounds like to me( and this is just my opinon,this is not a known fact) that you have more important issues to deal with ,then to sit here and put words in my mouth .So take care.
