getting decent bass outta component sets?

yeah i played with my eq on my deck yesterday, crossed the door speakers over at like 80hz soud better for sure, im just thinkin if i can get round ones in there some how it would sound way better, or just get kicks and put some polk components in em... that way i atleast match.

You sure you can't do it without fiberglass? I sure can. I've used homemade mdf adapters several times.

the easiest way i see for you to get bass is to replace the back speakers with 5x7 or 6.5" subs. these are the cheapest i found that go below 50hz.

Mid range drivers are not meant to pay bass, which is why subwoofers have been invented. All that will happen is you will blow something.

Last time i checked I don't want my sub playing over 8O Hz.

I have a pair of Anarchy 6.5s in my truck that go real low. I have them high passed at 45 hz. Damn good mid bass drivers for $85 each.

yeah, i donno if my ears are listening diffrent or that they never got broken in because from day one i basically used the doors jus for words and wasnt consernd about any bass outta them. but been tweekin the eq and have the low @ 80. (cant member the mid/or high) but there starting to play better and better... maybe i wont needa worry bout buying diffrent ones, as the sq outta thiese polks is accually impressing me.
