How did you pop your 150db cherry?

Recommended Posts

I think it was an Orion van back in 93 or 94...

First 50 I've heard in the last 15 years was my truck.

Mine was in the early 90s i guess. there was a car show in a small town by here, and as i got off the freeway i heard this loud ass music coming from the show about 500yards away. i was like i got to check it out well it turned out to be this Rockford fosgate demo astro van it had 12 punch 15s in a w-wall with 4- 500 dsm amps. any ways it had the doors open and was playing music i stuck my head in through the drivers door and it freaked me out. It sucked the breath from my lungs and i couldnt breath lol. Now i listen to my system that does 154s and plays music in the 52s all day. Im use too it already :pardon:

First 150+ i sat in was the Teg @ slamology, the first 50+ i heard outside the car was 2 15inch hccas (old style) off a hcca 250g4 (cheater amp) might have been 2, in a s-10. You could hear that bitch for miles.

Like where this thread is going. Awesome stories everyone! Some of you guys are very, very old school with the 90's stories! lol

well the first ever legit bass i ever heard was my friends that did a 146 at 35hz. trunk car. then i heard the rockford van and i was told it did a 50 atleast and i was like meh wasnt what i thought.. then i heard my other friends car walled with six sa12s and a saz3500 tuned to 34hz and it was like HOLY SHIT i actually felt like covering my ears hahaha you shoulda seen my face lol he slowly went up on the volume and finally my jaw just dropped i was like WOW i want this! lol it was really was something else.

Nice your talking about Arik's Car. That car sure does choke you.

oh shit...i didnt read the original post i thought it was about you breaking your own 150

my first 150+ db to the face was in Randys F150 with 24 15s powered off of 12 RF T10001bd...THAT BITCH WAS LOUD...before that my loudest ive heard was my own and that was a 142.

in all honestly ive sat in 56s-57s and still to this day Randys F150 set up with the 20 15s was the loudest...and still my favorite today

:noob:

LOL JP! Dont ban me!

But man this is one vehicle I always wanted to hear. Actually any of his crazy setups. To bad he doesn't have any, anymore. :(

My first 150 was my (2)18 BTLs off 6k

shit was intense... Shaking and moving every part of my body...

Back then it was HUGE to be that loud. Now.... It's a daily thing.

I'm still stoked to see the reactions of people who think (2)10" bazookas are loud.... Slapp a 155 to their dome and the facial expression is ALL TIME lol
