How did you pop your 150db cherry?

Recommended Posts

After watching Kranny's first 150db experience vid, I wanted to see what everyone else's was?

I'll start with mine.

It was with the MLA Hummer. 6 Mayhem 15's on ~ 30,000 watts, in a ported clamshell. I always remember it was with Air Forces, and when the bass kicked in I was thinking, "damn this is pretty loud". Then Chris proceeded to turning up the bass knob, and I remember it got to a point where I was thinking HOLY SHIT this is so badass, at this point I thought it was at full tilt. Then it just got louder/ full tilt. At this point I remember it feeling like someone was squeezing my throat from the inside of my body. Not being able to breath, after awhile I remember I a very slight nauseous feeling and thinking, "damn no wonder people tap out".

I loved every second of it, and couldn't wait for my next experience.

My first 150+ db experience was the homie's van, Tim from Audiotistics. 16 12's on like 4k or something? Anyways, he had a bass mechanic song playing, and like most, I thought...damn...this is pretty loud, way louder than any of my friends systems. Then the song starts hittin some lows, and he goes full tilt and the windshield starts flexing hardcore (windshield cracked btw) my whole seat is moving from side to side, so much air movement I felt like I was sitting right in front of a big ass fan.

The feeling is intense, I couldn't breathe for a few seconds, the only thing that stopped the music was so much flex to the dashboard and HU that it made the disc mess up. Straight ownage, never heard ANYTHING like that in my life, and definitely didn't expect that, didn't even know that much bass was possible lol! Totally caught me by surprise. I think he does 153 on TL. Heres a picture of the van!
