What are Sealed Back Midrange Speakers Good For?

7 posts in this topic

What is the difference between them and your standard basket type midrange? Are they better for door installs?

How do think they would do as door speakers, since they have their own "enclosure" so to speak??

I think they don't play very low freq range. Good if u gonna put different sized speakers in same enclosure. Example, u could put a regular 8" midbass and a sealed back mid in ur door and the midbass won't try to excurt on the midrange when the bass hits.

your confusing midrange speakers and midbass speakers, a dedicated midrange will not play near as low as a midbass driver

usually midranges are used for 3-4 ways
