guimond47 Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 hey boys, needing abit of advice. im buying a hifonics amp to push 4 alpine type R's 12" at 1 ohm stable. now, there the brutus line of hifonics and the HFI line. Which one should i pick. i was looking at the HFI2500D. it pushes 2500watt RMS at 1 ohm (so it says) but its not cea compliant. the brutus line is cea compliant. is cea compliant really worth the extra cash ? LET ME KNOW why i pick hifonics? because im going all hifonics except for subs.. and deck Orion 2500D , 2-10" alpine type X. Custom enclosure,Alpine amp for mids and highs.Working on a center channel ATM

LET ME KNOW why i pick hifonics? because im going all hifonics except for subs.. and deck go with the brutus intsead of the HFI, ive heard that the HFI aint that good with its supposed rms rating. ive'd purchased the brz2100 and pushed 3 12s with no problem and without the amp heating or even getting warm, it was nice cooled all the time.

And I woul do brutus. ive ran hifi, theyre good cheap amps, but not the brutus. ive heard good about them. 2006 Nissan Z Track. My Feedback Thread i used to think a band pass was something you were around your neck or something.

Courtfucious Posted January 6, 2011 Report Posted January 6, 2011 I am currently running a BZR1200.1D on my 18" DC and it runs like a beast I have been running this amp now with 3 different subs and each and every time I am impressed with the output that it creates. I have never had an issue with overheating or anything else for that matter.
