THEKINGsBACK Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Do rated rms...do you have any electrical upgrades? he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

DreDay256 Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Well, you have a couple options- go w/ an amp that's stable to .5ohm, buy an amp based on its 2ohm rating or buy 2 amps stable to 1ohm & wire one to each voicecoil... For 1 sub, the dual 2ohm would've been a better choice, imo. That way you could've just looked at one amp based on its 1ohm rating & would've been cheaper to find an amp that does 4kw at 1ohm as opposed to one the does 4kw at 2ohm.
