BC i need knew speakers one of mine F&*cked up so i need new door speakers. What are some options looking for speakers over. 100rms watts. I need 6.5 or 6x9's thinking of trying out some fiberglass door pods. davidhawke30 Posted December 5, 2011 Report Share Posted December 5, 2011 I was wondering the same thing. How is the SQ on these? Do they have good SQ, or just raw SPL? I'll be powering them with a 125RMS Alpine MRV-F545 amp. They look like they are built beeifer than anything on the market, but there is no where in Denver to audition them in person. So far, the best speakers I've hear are Focal Krx2 6.5 components. They are detailed, warm, great vocals, and great bass. They seemed to do everything well. I heard them at Cartoys, and they blew away everything else on the sound board. I'm looking for something that sounds like Focal KRX2s, without an $1199 price tag. Watch the bass Posted December 5, 2011 Report Share Posted December 5, 2011 (edited) Dynaudio´s , i had 3 pairs of them since the mid 90th, blow a pair (clipping), sold a pair, and own still one. Dynaudio is a clear warm silky sound, had the best sound at German Finals in my car. And I don't think their is such a thing as straight out SPL out of a 6.5 mid range. superdave07 Posted December 7, 2011 Report Share Posted December 7, 2011 I have a set of the XXX components in my integra, custom kick panels. They will get low and have lots of mid bass. The tweeter is very loud and clear. Honestly they are the best sounding set i've heard in that price range. Minus the woofer being a little hard for some applications being almost 4" deep. They are well worth every penny. My focals are still a better sounding speaker IMO but as i said for 1/4 of the price the REXXX6.5 set is a great deal.
