dwaine Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 What do you guys recommend on mounting a sub into a box? Not a light sub, about 60 lbs and 1200 RMS. Yes not a huge system but it will do and will be an upgrade from current 750 RMS system. Current sub and box were pre fab so sub was already mounted. This is my first time mounting a sub into a box for me so sorry for the noob question but I just want my sub to be secure. Thanks

And I've heard of the t nuts but heard its hard to hammer in the nut part from the inside since the box is already built.. And most likely forward. But could easily flip box on its back so its facing up
Rebel4055 Posted January 15, 2011 Report Posted January 15, 2011 with the t nuts just put the screw through the hole that's in the box and screw the T nut on just a bit and the hold the T nut and take a drill and tighten the screw, the T nut should follow and sink and bight right into the box.
