jdub92
I'm looking for some suggestions for upgrading my electrical. I have a 2005 silverado ext cab with stock alternator. I'm going to do a blowthrough with two dc xl18's on an audiopipe 3000.1. Just trying to figure out what i need to do to keep constant 14v. Just trying to figure out what i need to do to keep constant 14v. you not going to keep a constant 14.4 with a stock alt..., just not enough power behind it... your gonna need a high output alt and a few battery's, imo Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Sorry for not making that clear. really depends on ur budget man.. me personally i wish i knew what i knew when i was first starting out.. if you wanna stay at 14.4 ied say do a nice size alt..from whatever company you choose dc power, mechman, ohio, and just some 2 good battery's xs power would be my buy. prob a 3100 and i think a 2700 for up front and make sure you do your big 3 and run all 0 gauge wire power and ground Quote he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. jdub92
Honestly at the moment just trying to figure out, how much i'm going to have to save up. I recently had my other stereo stolen out of my truck. So I figured since insurance is gonna pay $1500 to replace the stereo, that it's time to upgrade. =P Edit: Oh and thanks for the quick responses!
