So, after getting the 6s my tranny likes to gear down to compensate for the extra weight.

Would changing my gear ratio help with this to keep it in overdrive?

Go to a little bit lower gear..

Say from a .373 to a .410

Or whatever your gear set is.

That will help keeps the rpm's up thus keeping it in od more

Your mustang probably has .355 is you make em lower like a .410 itll make your car feel lighter and really wake it up. But to stay in over drive the longest the best thing for that would probably be a tune with higher shift points i think.

My bad your avatar confuzzled me a bit haha. In that case idk what gears are in your f150 but a tune would still help.

Try a flashpack tuner from superchips. They compensate for tire size and you can adjust shift points too.
