I have one, it is actually one of there older models like 4 yr old, but does all the same as this one. It has an AGM setting and slow 2 amp charge. AMI does that was work manually and automatically? or one or the other? i dont like that my auto charger cant just be set to float charge. AMI CUSTOMS Posted January 21, 2011 Report Share Posted January 21, 2011 (edited) It is Auto, I really like it for my AGM batteries, when you put it in AGM mode it won't overcharge ever, it never goes higher then 13.5 and the micro processor detects whether you have a cell problem or not and will stop charging, I don't like manual charger because they can overcharge. Generally what I do is hook it up to my bank and put in AGM mode and 10 amp rate, takes a few hours and they are nice and strong before a comp. Oh and once it is at 100% it will just float charge at 13.5 in AGM mode. It will let you see voltage or capacity in %. If you take mine and put it in standard battery mode and connect to an agm you can make it boil like that, cuz it will ramp up to like 15.9 or higher volts when connected to an agm deep cycle. So make sure you have the AGM mode selected. I have made a yellow top boil in a few minutes once selecting the wrong setting and not realizing it.
