greatblack
Hey so i got a aq1200 for christmas so thats my amp and today is my birthday so my budget got a little bit bigger for woofers. i will be building my own box and i have 15 cu ft of space so i'm good on space what i'm looking for is a good sub(s). one(s) that have sq as this will just be a daily car. i've heard great things about Fi but i can't find any one local that has any any as everyone knows youtube won't tell you how good a sub sounds. I am looking for it to be loud however not many systems around here unless i drive to sac were i will stand no chance haha. i'm trying to be louder than all my friends. my budget is right around $300 so what i've been considering is 2 15" x 2 12' ssd 1 18" q 1 15" bl i'm favoring the q because they call it there sq driver. any other suggestions for subs in the same price range that would fit my application would be very much appreciated thanks for all the help.[/size] Quote look at my super internets it beast! http://speedtest.net/result/906958776.png
__d_a_v_i_d__
I would go with 2 fi ssd ... greatblack
why the ssd's and the x's were my least likely choice as i'd have to much power for them Quote look at my super internets it beast! http://speedtest.net/result/906958776.png
iKidwell
i'd do 2 ssd 12's...any reason you're going with fi?(not trying to get you to change your mind, just curious) Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
finkster
I would go with 2 fi ssd ... I would never go with the x Have you heard them? OP I would do an 18 inch Q. Less than 2 ssds and around the same cone area and sounds great. Although I did have a 15BL fully loaded and enjoyed it and had no sq problems. bkolfo4
If you are favoring the Q, also look at the AA Havoc. AA is the dealer based company owned by Scott - same guy that owns Fi. http://www.ascendantaudio.com/havoc.php Quote Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. greatblack
i chose the fi because other than david saying he didn't like the x's i've heard great things about them. they have good sq reviews and they are an american company making things in america haha. i'm open to suggestions this is my first build. i just want to do it right. and how much better is the q in sq over the bl would a 15 bl be louder than a 18 q sense its less cone area ?
