speedball1978
Since the d1400 is a 14v battery, would i require a step down module to have this under the hood of my car?
Berto
Just charge for a 14v. I believe it was said that a car can run safely on a 14v system. EclipseChris
Yes. There is a battery somewhere with 3 terminals on it one being 14v another being 12 and the third being ground. I forget what batt it is. I want some. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback. Maybe they have a 14 volt version too..idk Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

You have to charge a 14v batt to 16v or else it will never get fully charged. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback. speedball1978
ok well i guess my next question would be if i installed a d1400 in the front, how the hell do i charge it to 16v if the car only runs at 14.7 thats what my current reading is now.. i need to know the proper setup before ordering this xs battery, i'm sure i would have to install a d1400 in the back as well... EclipseChris
Just don't. Get a 1200 or a 2400. A 14v setup will cost upwards of $1500 in the long run. Stay at 12v. I would say call Nathan at XSpower. But you have plenty of time cause these are on backorder for the next month. He told me they need to be charged around 15.6-15.7v range
hdorre
You need an adjustable voltage regulator. Mechman and Missing Link Audio make some. Mechman has them available for more cars tho Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
speedball1978
You need an adjustable voltage regulator. Mechman and Missing Link Audio make some. Mechman has them available for more cars tho i'm working on the MLA module right now... i have the dc alt, so i'm hoping they do have the adjustable voltage regulator for my alternator and plug.. i've emailed missing link yesterday haven't heard back from them yet...
