n8ball2013
I dont know if youve been looking at job postings lately but alot of them have gone from A+ MCSE required to preferred. Alot of companies realize that they are just a piece of paper. Its tough to find someone with alot of certs that knows whats going on anymore. Mainly because the real workers are the ones who are too busy to fit more IT work in on their own time. Our worst guy has more certs than most of us combined sadly. The certs are resume stuffers. Things people look at and say wow this guy must be good. It gets them in the door and gets them an interview. hdorre
I'm sure you need microsoft certificate to get into the IT Field.. My stepdad was a Senior IT Manager and is currently the Senior Vice President of Software Development, and he just told me he didn't take that class BUT has colleagues that did. It helped, but not dramatically. hdorre
He started off in White Plains, but works from home most of the time now. When he travels, he goes to Chicago, Alabama, Pennsylvania, India, and many other places. Sammitch0
Not kids stuff? Are you serious? So you're saying building a PC with aftermarket liquid cooling 2 GPU's and hella OC is kids stuff on multi 1000$ equipment? I wish I was you when I was a kid. Your job with what is required sounds like kids stuff to me... VMware is cakewalk easier than getting a+ certification. and Server 2003 is like entry level stuff you learn in high school, dont condescend to people because you think this job is almighty, n8 I know youll make me have a vacation for this cause your a bastard but I speak highly about things I disagree with. Sorry had to .2cents. And the clarify I disagree with the way you stated it, like building pc's and maintaining isn't IT infact 75% of IT jobs involve some type of repair and software engineering not many places require what your job seeks. Just saying man, dont condescend its bullshit. n8ball2013
You fukcing retard. Dont speak on things you know nothing about. Do you know anything about service level agreements? Do you know anything about what I'm talking about? Building a pc whether its watercooled is easy. Overclocking means nothing in a corporate world. In fact its pretty damn dumb. Ever cost someone 100k 150k 250k for making a mistake? Ever been a part of a multi million dollar business outage? Ever worked with a SAN, Done the esx side of Vmware? I could go on and on. Go back to your kick ass world of warcraft machine.
