G-Monk didn't do his own work...I don't believe it!!! Hell if I know. I think that build was fairly simple. I believe he said it was 4 individual boxes and he has them worked in there some how. 2012 Honda Accord Radio: Pioneer AVH-4200NEX
bobonit Posted January 27, 2011 Report Posted January 27, 2011 i just want to know if i need to put a spacer between the subs so the surounds dont touch and if the subs drive together or fight each other?? and i heard that the box should be half of the volume is this true? Ok, you are asking the wrong question. What you are describing is a push/pull isobaric pair, not a clam shell. When you couple two subs togther face to face, you wire the one on the outside out of phase. You would have to put some sort of spacer between to keep the surrounds from hitting. And yes, when done in a sealed box, the volume is usually cut in half. Check out the12volt.com, they have a page on isobarics. http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/boxes2.asp#2 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
