thepolicerhere Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 alrite guys some of you that now me know i play football and im geting a scholarship NATION SIGNING DAY is 2morrow and i need some advise. ok well i have 4 offers to play d1 and a bunch of d2 schools. well i have a fiance now i just proposed to her 2months ago. and the rules are i have to live on campus for a semester so that means i cant take my fiance with me for 4 months and i DO NOT want leave her back here in cali i dont want to leave here period i made a committ to her.. idk what to do i have 16hours to find out what im going to do and i was promised she would leave with me when i leave now there telling me its a rule and she cant come tell after that period. i havent talk to her about it yet but im sure she will be heart broken and me to to leave my baby gurl any advise would be appriated!! note i would feel like a bitch to leave her and the pressures on me to not take any scholarships and i only have 16hours from now to choose Do what's best for you now. So many things change for a man from 18 to 30. You won't even know the people that are so important to you now. Money makes the world go round and you can have a degree from a nice school and then you can have so many more opportunities. You will love a lot of ladys in your time if your lucky. Which schools are strongest in the major you want? You have a chance to have a wonderful life.

So just leave her home until the semester is over, then get a place together. Also, its good to talk to her about it first and foremost Aint that easy man i think about everyday but look at what I have with her and it's so much better than football. If you answer yes I will explain why I ask this. am i good enough coachs tell me i am i cocky no do i have nfl agents contacting me yes but i just want make to the next level. after i made it there then i will go the next level. im pretty sure your going say suck it up and you have to make sacrifes to get what you want but at the end it will all be worth it.trust me im more then willing to eave for a couple months but you now how hard that would be for my women if you now women you now what im taking about
MrSkippyJ Posted February 2, 2011 Report Posted February 2, 2011 they told me its a ncaa rule when a student accepts a full ride scholarship they have to live on campus for a semester and are on probation for that semester then can move off campus if they do good in school then they will pay for housing off campus so find housing on campus that she can stay with you. I can't imagine they would require you not to live with someone, what if you were married? Worst case senario, she lives across campus... Unless you have money set aside to pay for school, go and get your schooling, education costs are going to go nowhere but up and the money to go may not be there. In regards to your fiance, congrats on that and I hope everything works out for you with it, but unless you have a sure shot at the pros or a good job lined up, I'd fight through it and get an education man. (Unless Nebraska Football is one of them ) You're young dude....The above comment is the truest statement you will ever hear. "So much changes between 18-30" I know it is not your ideal situation but you have a LIFELONG opportunity to be part of something few get to experience. Play ball and choose the school that best fits your interests for studies and if after that semester you still feel terrible heartbreak try to work it out for her to come out. But keep this in mind the only person that can miss an opportunity is YOU! YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU YOU... A degree in trade to play football is an amazing deal. Your job opportunities will expand with you college football background because you would be more "interesting" to any would be suitor. In short my advice would be to stop worrying slick..stop and enjoy so the pressure settles down. Congratulations on your scholorships and your talents. Opportunity is a one time deal for this and it would kill to know you let it go by and I dont even know you. Live the dream and take it in when 60,000 fans are going crazy all around your games.. Live the dream baby...You will be shitting your pants again before you know it.

I wanted to tell you about a good friend of mine that put his woman before his career. He was a left handed pitcher throwing in the high 90's with no pro training. Basically a left handed pitcher that can throw in the 100mph range after training at the age of 18. He could of signed his own paycheck in the majors. He was a walk on for the Atlanta Braves and had millions on the table. He picked his girl instead. She left him shortly after that and now he makes around 80k a year. Not saying that will happen to you at all, but you gotta prioritize. Statisticaly you will not marry this girl and if you do, statisticaly it wont last more than 3 years.
