protocaster69
I'm thinking about running 8 Hifonics HFi 12s in a wall in my extended cab toyota pickup, at 1 ohm on a Hifonics HFi2500D Will I kill these subs? Will they last at all? I have a couple other options.. It just seems like this would be pretty loud for just 500 bucks...
Guest
it will work yes. in my honest opinion im not such a huge fan for walls of cheap woofers. i like the shock value of being loud with barely anything. but whatever you end up doing im sure will be good. protocaster69
Well the other option is 4 Hifonics Brutus 15s.... That would be around 400 bucks just for subs... but I can do that...
dugee81
Someone on another thread posted how they had a customer with 8 of those on a 1500 watt amp and scored a 141. I just don't know Quote 200a alt. by Excessive Amperage hc800 under hood & 2 Deka 9a31 in rear 1/0awg + big 3 SAZ 3000D HDC3 18" @ 2 ohm
Ao1FTW
The amp wont do rated, but that would be a good combo for those subs! Just make sure you set your gains properly and you will be good too go! Quote 2012 Civic Si Coupe - Nada lol Youtube
protocaster69
Oh does anyone have any idea why the amp will actually do? This will be my first big system... I always wanted to do a wall... something people would be like WTF is that? lol
CJ18
If you want to go with a cheaper woofer that is fine but I would go with a better brand amp that is known to put out rated power. Rockford Sundown DC Stetsom SounDigital Powerbass----older XA version Planet Audio--Big Bang series Audio Que Any of these brands will do rated power. They are going to cost a bit more money but you will get MUCH better results and in the end you will be much happier.
