audiofanaticz
Ferrules are typically used when you are putting the wire into a connector like an amp, or a fuse holder that uses a set screw to hold the wire. Not something like a ring terminal that should be crimped or soldered. In those situations you wouldn't really be soldering your wire into your amp if that is what your asking.Unless I'm just not understanding on what your wanting to do fully. Solder and heat shrink (preferably adhesive lined heat shrink) for smaller gauge wires, hydraulic crimp (not hammer crimp) for larger wires again using heat shrink. andru
the idea of a ferrule is that the screw in the terminal will allow it to compress all of the strands into the ferrule and not just what's below the screw. In theory crimping creates a better connection than soldering

In theory crimping creates a better connection than soldering i dont have a choice if i could get them or where to get them at a good price and shipping haizz
Skullz
You could solder the wire and file off any stray strands, i have had to do that a time or two and works fine, just tighten it a few times after the initial install as the soft solder will conform to the shape, but do not over tighten it as you risk stripping the screw. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2

ShadeTreeMechanic
Conductivity is different than resistance. Measure any metal. Resistance is zero. Lead battery terminals conduct less than zinc. Zero difference in resistance. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
