tahoexfixssd Posted April 15, 2010 Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 Ive built literally 45 normal, plain boxes over the past 2 months i havent posted anything on here. its been getting kinda boring. so i had to express the creativity..... The car: 1998 Firebird The sub: 12" Fi SSD (one i sold from my yukon) The Amps: 2x Kenwood KAC-8105D The Wire: Knu Konceptz 4awg KLMX Batts (soon to be Kinetik HC600) The car acually came to me in hopes of getting just a normal carpeted box. But i talked him into letting me go nuts becasue if i was going to be doin all the angles gettin that thing down in the well i mtie as well make it fancy. Also he is a member of a major car club in central IL, so id be gettin alot of exposure. So here we go. here is the angle of the box. i decided on a sealed box just for cosmetic reasons. around 2 cubes. with the gloss red formica layed out it gives the hard 45 degree angles a rounded look. almost like it was kerfed haha. Here is the basic shell. the sides are standard white formica so switch it up a little bit. The stands for the amps that will be all fiberglass the complete shell of the amp rack. the smaller thing in the middle is a ring that will house my plexi logo later. tahoexfixssd Posted April 15, 2010 Author Report Share Posted April 15, 2010 red vinyl on the amp rack before it had time to totally shrink up. 22.5 degree bevel on the white translucent plexi that will go under the amps Amp rack finished and wired up. spaghetti without the sause haha 4 Red strips under each amp. the logo backlight . diffusing off of the white plexi.
