Just use a ring terminal that will fit on the size wire that you are going to use. Put a bolt through a hole in the side of your box with the ring over it. On the other side of the side put another ring on the wire to the amp. Give me a few minutes to get some pics.

Same as what you are trying to use. Just use some bolts, drill some holes the same size, seal them up, and some ring terminals bolted to the outside. Your box is only as strong as the weakest part. Hope that helps.

They will hold if you are running a small amount of power. But why cut a big ass hole in your box if you spend all this time trying to make it as strong as possible and then put a piece of flimsy plastic in it?
