i know mann. i actually just saw his setup today because he wanted me to make a box for him. but when he got here its all secured, and when i saw it they just put 2 screws in front of the batt, and its actually shaving the plastic outer shell of the batt.

haven't had experience with solo x so i can't say anything about em, but i have the same triple slug BTL and i hooked it up to one of my goliaths and it just took all the power like a champ(as long as you don't clip it, your good), no smellin, didn't get hot, etc.

in my experience KILZ primer really sticks to mdf without even sanding it, (even the edges of mdf). but of course if you want a smooth finish you have to sand it a lot

i ordered some frosted decal from him on march 17, paid the same day. he told me last week that he got into a fist fight and was in the hospital. then he told me 2 days ago that i should be in my mail, if not hes gonna remake them. then i pmd him that i still don't have it and he said that he will remake them. im still waiting for my vinyl. i bought some decals from him in the past and got it on time and even got a few extra. i hope he is true to his word now.

my suggestion would be to get it reconed to 18's and do a wall! IMO its not worth it to wall 2 15's specially in an ext cab where there are lots of room.
