Yes me to hints the reason i made this thread, maybe it was something i misunderstood... But its clear you blow a sub due to dirty clipped power in this case.. Maybe a mod can clean up the unneeded stuff and make this a sticky for ppl in the future wanting this answered....

Thanks for the fast responses... I kinda figured it was the clipping that caused the issue, but everyone seems to toss the under powering thing out there.. Me personally i dont have that problem, i usually have more power then needed..

Ok so im not the smartest man on earth , so im here to learn... I seen all the time ppl talking about under powering can cause damage.. Which in a since can be very true...Tho whats the difference in under powering the sub and have the right amount of power but leaving the bass knob down??? All in all its still being under powered.. right?

have you tried different set of RCAs? i had the same issue and it was the RCAs , and they were brand new...

wow i thought the RE vs.FI thing was over. Anyway FI subs love everyday use... i have owned every model Fi sub on the website and all of them impressed me... RE on the other hand i never wasted my time with... Ive seen ppl go from re to fi direct swap and gain dbs.. Also like op said customer service is like night and day.. FI is all around great company.. Also FI subs are very under rated... Ive seen 16kw rms on a btl.. Not that you should try that but its always good to know lol..

there not the best batts on the market but they should do the job... I would get an alt then go from there, But better batts will def help...

wouldnt mind seeing that alt.. when i talked to them i was told biggest they made was like 180 or 200 amp.. That was only a month or 2 ago but i could be wrong...

that alt is gonna stop charging when the batts reach a full charge.. so your answer is no it wont be to much.. Also dont think im bashing any other company with my other post, but ive heard and seen lots of issues with alt companies.. Thats why i picked teh company i did..

hit up nathan at xs power.. i got a 250 amp alt with bracket coming from him, for my 02 civic.. 1-888-497-7693 x1211, he will take care of you for sure... i havent had any issues with him, and not sure anyone who has..

def go to titanmotorsports.com and ask for sean.. Hes the guy who i went thru, great guy and great company.. I had an issue with a batt he had me a new one in 2 days... if you want his email just PM me and ill give it to you.. I picked them up at the shop and saved me like 70 bucks per batt..

cant wait to see some vids... Oh and teh DC subs will def sound better then the type r's anyday

for sure to each there own.. i like drakes music... T.I on the other hand i downloaded his mix tape and has to be the worst thing to ever touch my ears... i listen to part of each song and each one got worse... just my $0.02
