  1. We tried removing a wall from my mate's car.... three of us had axes, blocksplitters and a big circ. saw and we only managed to break the baffle apart. The strength of a clamshell is amazing!
  2. Go 2 18s, no wall in that car. Subs up ports back will be great. A wall is a serious structure and not something that should be built lightly. Once I wall it car the wall never comes out again. Just my 2c
  3. That is my preffered idea. Why change the forum name to appeal to people that always bag it out and will never contribute anyway? You've already got 1000s of people from all walks of life enjoying and contributing to this place so I see no need to change just for the haters. You ain't doin' somethin' right unless you got 'em hatin
  4. Badass Steve. Would love to try out six of those 15s in my car some day. That is one seriously deep woofer and motor design the same as the new BTL! Now you got no excuse to stay soft!
  5. Okay it's really easy to charge a car battery at home with only simple things you find laying around. First you will need -A box of lemons, six or more -6 copper plates -6 carbon rods -Assorted alligator clips + cable Stick a carbon rod and a copper plate in each lemon respectively. The copper will be your (+) and the carbon will be your (-). Now using the alligator clips and cables series the box of lemons together to achieve a higher voltage. You can parallel banks of them together if you want more current to perhaps jump start your vehicle. But if you're just after a charge seriesing them to achieve a high voltage and low current should be adequate. Keep this in the trunk of your car and it can be an emergency jump start pack in case you break down. Hope this helps
  6. uhoh_45 and his wall here: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=31193
  7. I just say because it sounds good and feels powerful. Just like driving fast in a cool car!
  8. Thanks for the help Boon the advice will be noted. I've helped test and tune this car. It has a ridiculous amount od Dynamat and deadening in it so it peaks super low. It's a VZ Commodore wagon FYI. It just loves burping at 40ish Hz Here's the style of boxes that have been used previously One T4 12" off 1kw would burp 143ish dB at 40Hz. External Aeros, all resined up internally etc.
  9. The M3 is also a great alternative to the old Z1. Maybe not quite as much power but tough as nails and also very compact. A second hand M3 would be cheaper than an old Z1 too.
  10. ^ Good work the Z2LV are big ass amps!
  11. Just got back from an 18th Birthday Party. I had to drive so I didn't drink too much. Just hopping into my Grey Goose now but I'm really bored. I think I'm almost drunk soon!
  12. The best way to get any kind of decent performance from an economy car like the Camry is a complete engine swap. Getting a 'front cut' from a car that has a similar front end (ie. engine/transmission and front suspension setup) as your Camry will be the best way. But don't expect anything good at all from an N/A 4cyl motor. Without a turbo it just won't happen. I would save up, wait till you're off your 'P' plates and then buy something quick. Sinking huge dollars into a Camry is just not worth it. I recommend an R32 GTR for good performance for dollar.
  13. Will be good to see how that sunroof fares to the beatings of 160dB! I know Frankie's cops quite a bit of shit. Headliner looks badass too, Steve!
  14. I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW!! Rockford Fosgate has chosen to take the Steve Meade Designs crew on and start designing custom Rockford Fosgate products with the SMD influence. The first shipment of ballpoint pens and mouspads go out on Tuesday!
  15. The Audiocontrol microphone is only as good as the last time it was calibrated. If the owner has the 'close enough' attitude then I doubt the mic has been maintained through its life, so it's probably way out
  16. MM Can't say I'd want that thing..
  17. FAAARRK!! Just when I thought Maria Padilla tested my T40001 to make the most power at 4969wrms you've got one 5kw+ Wicked! anyone found a T4k that makes more?
