  1. ...ok, now you're just showin off! Looks awesome, all the black trim makes the amps stick out more visually. Yes, those doors are awesome!
  2. Any chance you can get an 8" sub under one of the front seats? also shallow subs might fit under the seats. Center console sub enclosure? Doors would have to be really solid to get sub bass in them.
  3. Thats awesome as usual!!! Does that material (leather???) have any stretch to it, or do you have to work it with the heat gun? My guess is the less stretch it gives = the harder it is to work with, which shows you are really talented with your upholstery skills!! ....there you go making it look easy again!....now the rest of us will try to wrap something and it will turn out like crap!
  4. Gotta love this vid, kinda funny.....them JL 13.5w7s are violent beasts! ...not sure how much power is in there, but you gotta admit, you wouldn't expect that much outta this sub and box............until it HITS! .....sorry, I get bored with no beat in my car, so I have to surf for it!

  6. Awesome!, nice how they all jumped back when it hit!
  7. Frequency response is 6000K+....more like a supertweeter!
  8. I'll have to check these out when I get home from work. ....you got any more vids of your old civic roadster???
  9. Hifinics HFi12D4, 300w rms, anywhere from $20-$99 per sub.
  10. If you are really unsure of port dimensions, then you should stick close to what the sub manufacturer recommends. PVC works fine for ports if your client is not a perfectionist, they also can be painted. I used to use bondo to attach them to the MDF. When you decide on the port dimension in square port, there are converters on the internet that help you convert a square port to a round. If you are not sure on round ports, talk them into a slot port, easier to build and you already have experience with your box.
  11. Thanks, Ive been wondering this too; In Texas sun, I always wanted a rubber surround sub, as the sun eats up the foam ones long term. Can't be anything wrong with foam if FI and DC use it.
  12. The knuconcepts KLM is cheapest cost, but not as easy to work with as the fleks, and only comes in blue and white.
  13. Parts-express sells them. I think they are made by TC sounds.
  14. So I gotta make an underhood battery tray, so I made a mock up out of cardboard. What do I cover the cardboard with so resin and glass cloth don't stick to it? Aluminum Foil?
  15. Just discovered these: The guy from Rockstar Supernova, Lukas Rossi, has a new band called Stars Down. This song is amazing! name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">..and here is a cool perfomance they did at the Viper Room, Annie Lennox song- here comes the rain again..pretty cool.... name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"> name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350">
  16. Ashes Divide - The Stone http://youtube.com/watch?v=IcvCPM6BgC4 Dream Theater - Live another day Dream Theater - Pull Me Under
  17. Bedliner spray! j/k ........ seems to me thinner material seems to stretch better, everyone here likes suede. I went through the same dilema with my pillar pods and ended up painting them with a thick fleckstone spray and a clearcoat.
  18. Thanks, I was pretty pleased with it, but it rolled off at 46 hz, and then I discovered SMD, and it came out of the car with less then one month of play time on it!
  19. Not speaking form experience, but from everything I've read about shallow subs, you can not compare them. Had you had 4 regular depth pioneer subs they would have hit a lot harder than the shallow ones. General consensus is you need more power to shallow subs to get them to sound the same as their full size counterpart.
  20. Well, based upon recent experience, I guess I joined the more cone area club. I went from an a/d/s 10" sub to a Kicker comp 15", to 4 then 8 Hifonics 12"s, (just the regular Hifonics, very inexpensive on sale! ) Nothing wrong with 1 or 2 quality subs, I was just ready for something big.
  21. A lot of newer 4 cyl cars, mine included, have the alt located down low and 'behind' the engine. Any chance you could get to it from under the car, while the car is secure on jackstands of course???
  22. An Ultimate 4x25 watt amp, running 4 channel to 2 Pioneer 2 way 6.5s in the kick panels, and an Ultimate prefab ported box with 2 8"s and 2 horn tweeters! Kenwood pull out deck, too! umm.... year 1988 ish...
  23. May I put in a request for a Maximus amp on the front bed wall, then you can do whatever you want inside!
