  1. Maybe the lesser/unknown brands are just underpriced IMO everyone wants to bash JL but the fact is that they make good shit, but you have to pay for it. Same with RF with their upper line up of amps. If I had the money, damn right I would run RF over most other unknown amp companies. On another note, the T4k was one of the only big powerhouses like that for the time era, and it wasnt long after that and we see all these big mo fo's showing up wanting to dance, too
  2. Looking for someone who can make shirts. Size large. Looking for a. Old school RF shirt...where it just says Rockford fosgate on the front. Also looking for an re audio shirt in black. Lmk how much. Thanks.
  3. Subs- Fi, DD, IA, JL, RE older models, DC, ...If you're going to include RF make sure you do the hx2 or TRF. components- audison, hertz, image dynamics, morel, focal, rainbow, seas. Amps- RF, Audison, Mcintosh, PG older models (maybe a pic of frankampstein or something cool from the era), PPI older, Zapco, Zed. Source- Nakimichi, RF, Eclipse, Alpine, Pioneer, clarion (whi invented the first car radio btw, actually blaupunkt actually claims the same thing). Wire- RF, Kicker, Stinger, Knu.
  4. x2 on the amp guts shirt. I want one.
  5. Only way to know is to measure the resistance from said ground spot on chassis and see if it has less resistance than your run of 1/0. My money is going on the 1/0.
  6. The only thing a vcm would do in this case is keep the battery charged more often, just keep in minds it is only a 90 amp unit, and you shouldnt expect to have perfect voltage from playing 2500 watts out of it, esp in the heat. and yea, dont put a vented battery in your car. I also hope you dont smoke.

  8. Maybe he is referring to BB only selling the punch series while shops sell the power series, which is better.
  9. agreed, fix it there. Aftermarket alts probably have the highest failure rate of any kind of car audio equipment. Mine went bad too.
  10. First off, 12.3 volts is resting voltage of the battery so dont drive it anywhere. If it smells electrical then i have a feeling its an alt problem. A rubber smell indicates the belt. Try tightening the belt and see what happens. What kind of alt is it?
  11. Hell yea go big for that price.

  16. Good job. Depending on genetics, not all people can do that though. Tj are you trying to gain slowly or quickly? Gain too quick and at the end of your bulk you're going to have to cut harder. Try eating 500-1000 calories over maintenance for 2-3 weeks and see what happens. Protein is more important than a weight gainer at this stage. For adding mass, focus on core lifts mainly. Squats, deadlifts, sldl, bench, curls, military press, bent over rows, and pull ups.
  17. agreed. Everything above 13 means your alt is still working.
  18. purchase one from knukonceptz.com Shipping is usually very quick from them. sorry for the bad luck so far. Quick question. Are your amps going to be in the trunk? If so, just run two separate wires...one for each amp, of course then you would need 2 different fuse holders but that's easier to find. Good luck.
  19. wow man hope you feel better soon!
  20. I dont like caps with voltage meters because it takes away from what they are supposed to do. In this application i would say sure, ditch the cap. Id recommend 1/0 for connecting the batteries, and also 1/0 going to the fuse block. 125 amps is the limit for 4 gauge.around 250 is the limit for 1/0 (cca at least). so here you have it. front bat---250afuse----------250afuse----rear batt. rear batt--250afuse-----dblock---2 125a fuses-----amps.
  21. Welcome to the forum. First off, I am not going to get into the whole cap argument because it seems to start a pissing match. But to put it into simple terms, using them in a non spl system has its benefits and can act as a shock absorber. Hell, I may even add one in my system when I find a deal on one. PS TJB- a cap does far from rape your voltage, its wired in parallel, not series lol, voltage will remain constant. Whenever you fuse something on a wire, you're supposed to fuse for the wire itself, and not the amp. So in any case, if you're using a fuse on an 8 gauge wire, you would put an 8 0 amp fuse in place (for that's what most 8 gauge is rated at). Good luck with your setup, mang.
