Zv4
bassman619 replied to Budlight863's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
can anyone tell me why sundown doesnt have the zv4 on their website? and why cant i find any specs on them anywhere? -
So im trying to make my build sound as clean as possible..even though its in a station wagon k still want to hav everything 100 percent coverage on all doors..the trunk door and trunk area and most of the roof.. ill probably need about 150-200 sq feet or more. PLEASE DONT TALK SHIT.but I habe been using fatmat for a while now. Ive used it in about 5 different cars and have had pretty good results up until now. Double layer on the trunk lid single layer every where else. The last car I used it in was my 2004 impala and guess what? It didnt do as well as the others. Still getting trunk rattle and flex although drastically reduced still present. And its killing my sq outside the vehicle. So I want second skin damplifier pro for this next build but since I will need so much of it I have to know WHEN IS THE NEXT SECOND SKIN SALE COMING UP? I can wait ..im patient. Jus5 have to know so I can buy it all at once might just shoot for 200 ft and charge to install leftovers in other ppls cars

subwoofer question
bassman619 replied to bassman619's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Yea after hearing all these opinions I think in gonna just cut a 18×16 piece of mdf glue it on top of the sub hole and cut the hole. Will the change in sub displacement change the box tuning? Its tuned to 38hz right now -

Whoa particle board?.ive used it to mount cabin speakers but I stay away from it to make sub boxes...to me its too weak and too porous...not very good resonance..the reason why I ask if I need to double it is because I had a 4.8 cu ft box that was 1.5 inch thick and I had a 12" memphis mojo in it..come to find out it was the 4 ohm version so it was wired to two ohms. Guess I was only pushing 750w outta my 1 ohm stable 1500w amp ..and guess what the damn sub tore that box up afte 4 yrs..mojononly wieghs about 40lbs but tbis 15" t2 sub wieghs about 65lbs..and its the 2ohm version so ill be pushing the full 1500w rms..I just dnt want to have to rebuild this box..hahaha -

Yes double it? or yes it will work -
Can 3/4 inch mdf withstand a 15" t2 sub or will the sub tear up the mdf?...do I need to double it up?

bassman619 replied to bassman619's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
So if im correct that will creat a 2 ohm loadr right?...what do suggest I set the crossover frequencies at.? -
So I found out my 4ch amp runs 70w ×4ch @ 2 ohms.. heres my question..if I run 8 speakers 4ohms each 50w rms/100watt peak in parallel (2 speakers per channel) will it work?..will 35w each be able to push these speakers? Will it over work my amp? Will it over work my drivers?..I just dont want to blow anything out..I already spent too much money..
