  1. I posted on your vid. That is gonna' be stupid when you are done. It looks cleaner now than most builds and you aren't even done! lol
  2. Get a vid of his face when he flinches and tweaks... then watch him lie through his teeth when he still says it isn't loud. Young punks....
  3. Thanks. They aren't even my thing- but that much metal in one place was freakin' Awesome! Too bad the mic on the camera didn't do it justice- they fired off about 10 of them at once and it was like a symphony of old John Deere! That is my father in law's baby. Let me tell you- that car is NO JOKE. I know it "only" has 635hp, but it only weights something like 2300 lbs. It is a HORROR. I have driven it and I can say, it really is more fun to look at than ride in, and more fun to ride in than drive. It is so high strung, it is CRAZY. He is all excited about this video though- next time I go down there, he wants me to do a proper video- one with a full walk around, burn outs, and insane ride along footage. I am looking forward to that.
  4. Tractor Vid: My Father In Law's Superformance Shelby Cobra: & this one is in my build but still- My Van's Horn Vid: These are the first videos I have "edited", so let me know what you guys think!
  5. I just double checked all of this and you are Spot On. I am punching myself in the face right now.... Next time- and that may be soon- I am getting some of these from O'Reilly. I totally feel you on being able to pop in to any O'Reilly and get a replacement if you have an issue. Made in USA as best I can tell.
  6. Excellent!!! I love those tang bands. They aren't as cheap as they used to be- that is for sure. Last time I looked at the 5.25s, they had almost tripled from what I paid- nixed my idea of getting 2 more. Those 8's are $122 each now! http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-833 It is wicked fun to watch all of those 8"s jump like that! Thanks for sharing!
  7. This one gave me wood. I LIKE this one! lmfao! im pretty sure he smoked the clutch and not the tire on that 1....this is why ppl should not buy cars they cant drive ^ This. Bye Bye Clutch. IDIOT. Aussies Do it Right!!! Madness!!! I like this one:
  8. That's lope for a 4.3! Did you do a way with the injection and go for a carb with that cam? I am curious, because I have heard that things tend to go awry when big cams are used with the injection on a factory computer....
  9. But if he does that, one of the channels on the amp won't put out anything since it doesn't get signal from the RCA. Like will77530 said, seems like you need 2 Y Cables (Female on the single end and male on the end with 2). "low level" is simply another term for the RCA input. The RMS @full channel driven is prob. just saying the watts the amp does when getting proper signal (IMO- descriptive writing they didn't really have to put on the amp)
  10. My oooold cheap camera seems to do a better job on audio videos than my Cannon PowerShot does. Just like you are saying about yours- the little mic inside bails long before anything even starts to get good. Mine even has some sort of feature that can adjust to the higher and lower volumes... yeah, no dice with that either. Wish I knew- maybe try a old cheapie off ebay? ...unless you are after newer with HD.
  11. Wild Stuff. Took me almost 2 hours to get from the East part of the coast back to the West- Traffic was so bad. I may have seen you there Bass_Stalker- I saw several El Caminos- so I may have seen your dads and you and your jeep, I just don't know. My brother drove his '71 El Camino down and my dad rode with him. -my brother's is all black: And michigancapri92, hope to see you there next year. Every year I try to get a buzz going on here on SMD for anyone close, but seldom do people chime in. Hopefully there is next year!
  12. Had a ball. So many old cars, bikes, big trucks, boxes & donks, low riders, and drag cars it was crazy. Saw about 5 Shelby Cobras, a Lambo or 2, a Lotus, Ford GTs, on and on. Enough air horns to make you go deaf. oh... and burn-outs galore.
  13. ....best I can tell, it is both. The bit is obviously something different, but the drill head has a very specific pattern it follows in rotation (probably has to match with placement of bit). That way it hits just right for the right part of the bit to cut the right part of metal. Stoopid Stuff!
  14. Excellent. Yeah, I haven't seen him in a minute either. But thanks for the heads up Namosh. I appreciate it. I am just toying with the Idea, you know? I know I can get the black bed liner for like $80 but the white is $140 or so. -Tempted to do it black. I really would if the stuff can be painted with good LONG TERM results. Hell- the van is 23 years old now. ...wouldn't mind seeing how long I can make it stick around.
  15. Sooo much math with such impossible tolerances! I could almost watch that vid all day. Cool.
  16. ^ this. If it bothers you or if it is causing problems, you might look into getting an overdrive pulley to spin the alt faster.
  17. Cool. I will def. give him a shout. Thanks! I thought about that. Like I said, the only reason (really) to do it in white is for the heat. Seems like black would soak up the heat more- and here in the south, in the summer at 105 degrees sometimes, that would suck! As for where the material would go- the "design" if you want to call it that- of the van makes it pretty easy to pick the line. It is just the top side of the box. LOL Same price for the white HERCULINER as the black or grey. According to the write up, it doesn't need the UV sealant / protectant. http://www.247autoparts.com/store/herculiner.html It says it is enough for a 6' truck bed. May not be enough since the van is longer than that... but, that difference may be made up for in what they count for doing the sides of the bed. $139. That is cheap enough to make it worth a try.
  18. Ok, so I know there is one thread on here already about DIY bed liners: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/120932-roll-on-bed-liner/ But this guy was using it for its intended purpose. I have been thinking about using some on my Roof. I know this has been done before, and someone on here (I can't remember who) I know had some on his roof at one time. Since my van is white (and white won't make it as hot inside during the summer) I would go with white. What I am really afraid of is fading... I know it is white, but it could turn Yellow. Ick. So- does anyone have experience with this? If I did it (myself or paid someone- say Rhino or Line-X) would it make an appreciable difference to reduce flex and noise? If I did it myself, would it look like complete dog crap? ...it isn't like my van is pretty now, but why put in work to keep it ugly? Catch my drift? I saw in the other thread how there are several people who vouch for Herculiner and that they make a non-fading seal you can put on. http://www.herculiner.com/ Any input is greatly appreciated!
  19. Gotcha. ...it was just a thought. Sorry- I can't help you on that one. Bump for someone else who can??
