  1. Im just saying that you will hear stuff that you didn't hear before.... including injected noise.
  2. I have McIntosh tweets and love them. They are Silk domes that play cleaner than anything I have ever had. Not harsh at all. I highly recommend them. Just know that speakers that good need a really good amp.... if your amp (or anything else for that matter) isn't up to par, you will notice it. That is the problem with that stuff.... it feeds on itself! lolz
  3. I put this in the random pic. post too- but I was so proud, I had to put it where it really belongs.
  4. Sounds like one or more of you cells inside one or more of your batteries has shorted out? I had that happen with a regular batt- but not a dry cell battery before. edit: yeah, my battery was ruined. Hope that isn't your luck, bro-
  5. Don't get all my snow son! I may see a flake or two by the time it gets to me. You guys get snow like we do I bet- once every 4 years if that and it comes at crazy times and snows hard and fast- then it is gone the next day.
  6. I've known people who put big notes on their seat that says: "there is nothing in this car" and the sobs will break in anyway just to jack stuff up. Keep the car empty of everything and clean all the time. You won't be able to bump the system when you get it in anywhere near your block b/c you never know who is watching and listening = sux. ....but like etaks_crew said, a nice neighborhood watch program with you and a paint ball gun or a BB gun or something NON-LETHAL would be a good start.
  7. Yeah... I just re-read that part in the dashed box with the star by the note.... You can use a MONO sub input or a stereo full range input, but you have to take it down to the left or right side. So- it doesn't sum the rca inputs internally. What kind of HU do you have and how do the settings work for your rcas?
  8. Your HU use a Sub out on the rcas? If so just double check to make sure it is on. Many Pioneer HUs with a sub out have a setting where you can disable/enable the sub output. I wonder why it wants to get do the signal like that? Because it is a "mono" amp but doesn't sum the Left and Right internally? I have a bx1600d and it doesn't have to be done that way....
  9. Gone. Out, see you later, hit the bricks. Not caring for a person's audio "hobby" is one thing, but lack of respect for the person like that is a whole other thing.
  10. Drive like there is a raw egg under your gas and brake! As everyone has said- do everything gradually and slowly. Try not to stop unless you have to- like at a light or on a hill... keep the thing rolling just a bit. Four years ago, I got to drive across the Donner Pass during a white out snow storm! That sucked. And the last time I got to drive in substantial snow was like January of 06. My wife and I were in Memphis and the rain turned to snow- 6 inches of snow within 2 hours. We were in a front wheel drive Neon! It did well in town, but no fun on the Hwy. The only good thing about a front wheel drive vehicle when in the snow or ice when you take off- it will spin until it begins to go forward. The Mustang behind me was tailgaiting in the snow going up a hill in rush hour traffic. When we had to come to a stop and finally start again, the Neon puttered up the hill- the Mustang punched the gas and went sliding butt first into the curb. They quit tailgating after they did that. To me, it is like mudding in a 4WD truck, but instead of mud, you are on a road where there are other people to worry about.
  11. ! For a first try looks like you were pretty successful! Great Job!
  12. The wife and I voted about 8:15 in the morning. We had to wait on a booth, but no lines. It went very smooth. BTW.... bass > politics Bass conquors all.
  13. Best part has got to be the kool aid! "To tha makers of Kool Aid!!!!! I ain't gonna miss that little bit at tha top!!" That was a riot!
  14. X2 I did that as a part time / student worker job while I went to my University. I should have stayed there after I got my degree! FYI: it isn't all dark and steamy mechanical rooms and air vents- the part I did was the "energy managment" side- everything HVAC in big institutions (schools, hospitals, etc...) are run off of computers and programs. That is what I did. I would have made bank had I stayed- but no... I was an idealist then.
  15. Could you buy the wire and re-wind the coil yourself?
  16. I've got a co-worker that has a cordless Makita that can do stuff that a corded DeWalt can't. Nice find on that one!
  17. Bump X2 I have a similar situation for some of my spare Vegas. I have googled some stuff, but haven't found anything that I like so far. Maybe a generic cone and motor? I suppose you would have to know gap size, depth and diameter of the coil, cone size.... so on. It seems like so much to go wrong unless you find a company that specializes in this. I'm gonna' keep looking too bro. If I find anything I will post it up.
