  1. that's a good kit to go with . are you doing the installation yourself ? you might want to take it to a shop , since there is really not too much modification to do , like what has to be done to a minitruck ( 4link , bag brackets , c- notch , bag cups , etc .. ) , it should be alot less $$$ for the install .........
  2. you are right about the digital camera , ziplock bags , and sharpie (marker) !!!!! i still don't think i can put it back together thats why i am paying my mechanic to do it (side job for him , he's a master mechanic) . i am not afraid to say '' i can't do that and be 100% sure it will work '' . now if it's an enclosure , i can always buy another sheet of MDF , i don't want to have to buy another engine , i cant afford another one ......
  3. then obviously you share my opinion , that's a good mod you've done . i see alot of them not even close to being able to lay frame but swear they are cause their kit does ... how much did you section it ???
  4. yeah it is ( the bagged truck in my avatar ) , just picked up the motor today , got a complete engine for $300.00 , my mechanic will put it in this next weekend , i REALLY can't wait , my truck is such a blast to drive , im literally sitting about 10-12'' of the ground cause its bodydropped and the seats are bolted to the floor , so im VERY , VERY low to the ground .. well i just hope my mechanic does the swap on sat. and finishes it that same day !!! so i can go for a nice sunday cruise .....................
  5. if i were you , i wouldn't buy a ''kit'' from AIR RIDE TECHNOLOGIES, they are WAAAAY over priced !!! you should be able to buy all the parts ( air ) AND get the work done for that price !!! so buy some air struts and piece together the rest ( tank , fittings , valves , compressor(s) , switchbox , and a bodykit with side skirts ( to make it look slammed , even though it's really NOT !! sorry , i hate that look , kinda like xtreme s10's and xtreme blazers , when you want to be slammed , make it , don't fake it !!!! anyhow , you shouldn't have to spend more than $2500.00 on every thing you need as far as air suspension parts ... check out F.B.I , SUICIDE DOORS , M.I.C , AIR ASSISTED ( AAC ) , COOL CARS, etc.... also , go with 2-way brass valves, not manifold valves ( like what they sell with AIR RIDE TECHNOLOGIES ) .............. if any one has a extreme s10 or extreme blazer , don't trip , everyone is entitled to their own opinions , i just stated mine , that's all
  6. by using a sealed box , and moving the pumps around i think they would fit , the trunks in those cars are huge !!!
  7. i know i cant afford a v8 , as much driving as i do for work , id be working to buy gas !!!!!
  8. as some of you know , my toy has been down for a while , so i thought it had some thing go wrong with the cylinder head ( broke valve spring , valve , etc..) but finally got some xtra cash to fix it , so i called my mechanic over to my house to give it a look over and he said i either have a broken piston skirt or piston wrist pin ... so that means i gots to replace the engine , well i was just wondering how long does it take to pull a 22re and drop a new ( used ! ) one in ??? has anyone done something like this ??
  9. i cant see you eliminating the back seat in a cruiser like that !!! just put in 2 15'' FI Q's in a sealed box in the trunk firing thru the back seat , you will have sick bass and still have your back seat and all the comfort for the ladies !!!!! i really think you should re-think your planning for the system , just my 2 cents...
  10. thats if you did the work your self , not at a shop , they will charge 1500-2k for labor , but he never got into specifics about what he all wanted done to it.
  11. should be around 3-4 k ..... you might as well do the rear , you will have to 4link it any way if you want it that low to be able to drag....
  12. i hear you about the $ situation , most of us are in the same boat !!! hope your rides come out clean
  13. yeah , we are interested, so what did you decide ??????????????????????
  14. i hope to one day get a regal and have this homie from L.A that now lives down here hook it up , he does frame wraps on the side , mostly the x-frames on impalas , but yeah , he re-inforces the shit out of them , i my self have seen so many bent up frames and tweaked quarter panels , it's ridiculus .. so what you dont got a ride now , you sold both ????
  15. i just sold my 91 4runner , it SUCKED on gas , it got about 10 miles to the gallon , f-ck that , i sold it so i can get my bagged toyota x-tra cab on the road ( it's an 88' with the 22re engine) yours is nice they got hella room in the back for subs , if mine woulda got better mileage , i would of loved to put some 18's in the back and been slammin , especially with the back window that rolls down !!!! oh well .....
  16. put a continental kit on it for the extra tire ,does your ride ,ride nice with out the accumalators ???
  17. nice , did you wrap that frame with 3/8'' steel , those regals and cutlasses flex big time and start to crumple on the rear quarter panels and roof by the half top when you cut the top off !!! a few of my homies have regals and monte carlos ( same size ) with the roof gone . did you chain it with cable or chain ?
  18. did you ever think about what i said about putting in 2-3 high output alternators so you can charge your batteries, that would be sweet if you could.......
  19. nice ride, would of been better if it was bagged, j/k lol. you runnin' acumulators ?? i wanted to '' juice '' my old blazer but thought twice and then decided to bag it but the p.o.s took a shit on me so i sold it to the junkyard !! if your gonna do a wall , you should build a new battery rack and have them in a row , all the way to the front. then move the pumps as close to the batteries as to make as much room as possible for amps and even more batteries for the system. it's gonna get crowded in there quick !! that would be nice to go with 3 or 4 alternators , that way you can charge your hydraulics batteries also , and never have to hook them up to a charger all the time. i just hope you never blow a hose or fitting off one of the pumps , that would kill your amps quick... good luck , put alot into planning.........
  20. check out my pic in my signature, thats full lift in front , the back is about the same but the wheel wells are shorter in the rear i cant even untuck the rear tire , but I CAN TUCK THE LUG NUTS
  21. i get hardly any , i told you i got a 50/50 4 link !!!! im gonna get some BLF flate plate upper control arms cause my stock ones hit the bag plate, thus limiting lift. i get enough in the front to turn all the way, but cause of the 50/50 , i can hardly get my rear wheels off any how , ill solve that with a super lift 4link.......
  22. edit= thought this was recent, hope your doing good and have fully recovered............
  23. i would think it would make them worse . the super pivot joint is looser , maybe if you flipped the bar around ( adjustable end on the axle )
  24. you're , j/k...... one of these days ill learn how to put a you tube video in my post !!!!!! i f-cked that one all up !!!
