I had a chrysler sebring that did the same thing after a few to many burnouts i just disconnected the battery for a minute and it reset computer and was fine after.

Did you check the fluid with the engine running.Also is your check engine light on some transmisission go into a limp mode before major damage happens and only needs computer to be reset.

Did you try car-part.com you can search your area for used parts.

get the welder out and fab something up.Any pics of setup and car?

It could be the bracket that hold the cable at the carb and most carbs have different mounting holes for the cable end.Maybe try a different hole.If you see the motor in my avatar it took 2 weeks to get the carbs to open corectly with the lokar cable.

are you using the lokar cable with the peddle?

Not sure on horsepower but the engine combo is suppose to be for around 800hp and is balanced for 8000rpms it being put together pretty much burnout shows.

It came with shorter rear shackles can't remember if it has the bolts or not but it was for your model truck.I checked it because i was looking for shackles for my explorer.They didn't have anything out for the front but i have been dealing with jegs and they also have kits for your truck.They have free shipping and you get it in 2 to 3 days.

If you buy used make sure it is a good brand and also make sure everything for the kit is there.Also i dont know if you guys have pep boys there but they have a rear shackle kit for $50 that lowers the rear 3 in.For the front i would get a set of dropped spindles that way you keep stock ride quality.

Is the amp new or was it used?

what color was the transmission fluid.Was it red or more of a brownish color.Also did the transmission shop take it for a ride to check it out?

I had an 86 4wd with a c6 tranny but it was having the same problem.It turned out to be the cats were plugged up.I hollowed them out and never had a problem again.
