  1. Brandon, it is mostly because there are so many cheap/useless liquid deadeners out there that have made people wary of the liquid product. Unlike those cheap knock offs, Spectrum has been tested to perform as well as 2mm thick Damplifier Pro when built up to the recommended 3mm thickness. Cheaper liquid sound deadeners are mostly water (Check the Polymer content of any liquid deadener it should be up the high 40-45% area like Spectrum, less polymer means more fillers and water) , especially the ones you can spray out of an aerosol can (the polymers needed for proper sound deadening would never spray that thin, that is why a 2mm minimum opening shutz gun is needed). Another reason is because not everyone feels comfortable with paint products and are afraid of runs or not looking good, when in fact it is very hard to mess up when applying Spectrum as it doesn't run like thin paint. The very first project I (Eric) did with Spectrum was a huge eye opener for me, I never would have thought it was as easy as it is to apply. And being water based the clean up is simple with water in the first 30 minutes. So just a recap: 1 - Spectrum (3mm) performs as well as 2mm Damplifier Pro butyl 2 - Spectrum is much easier to apply 3 - Spectrum lasts as long and stays bonded as well as our high quality American made butyl products (Spectrum handles 400 degrees/Damplifier handles 450 degrees) 4 - Spectrum is less expensive and lighter weight in most projects. Once a customer tries Spectrum, they really love it. Here is a link to the best deal on Spectrum with a gun HERE Second Skin For The Win!!! Didn't even know this stuff was a thing! Will definitely take a look at it.
  2. These residents are trying my patience with their stupidity and lack of common courtesy. This building is not a playground

  3. That thing is going to be HEAVY when it's all said and done. With almost 200lbs in just subs? My back hurts just thinking about it.
  4. I hate everything right now. I spent all of that money for this project plus going out of my way to get to some power tools only to find out that the camera I have doesn't have a modifiable lens. Not to mention i spent hours trying to remove the damn filter. The ps3 camera has two versions of the lens. One that can and one that cannot have the IR filter removed. The project is due Thursday and I still have to run code for the camera that can't be built. I'm so screwed right now....

That's called crunch time. It's expected. Kick some ass and do the best you can. Run that code. You've got 3 full days, you can sleep when you're dead. Get 'er done!

I ordered a new lens/mount for the camera's PCB today along with some heatshrink. Should be in by tomorrow. Thank the student crunch time lord because the project deadline has been pushed back to next Tuesday.

Lol I wish it was that. Had to buy and modify a camera to pick up a clean IR signal to track the position of a user's eye for Human Computer Interaction

  6. That's awesome. I might get one if/when I get an actual job and it's not worth almost an entire year's worth of pay for me lol
  7. Got a message from a guy saying that i'm going to be charged with vandiliztion from the head of my department? Don't know why but uh...yeah that has me worried.

Oh, I'm not paying anything just to have it dropped. I was saying that I didn't care about paying a fine, I care about losing my job. That sucks what happened to you.

  8. But that's not the point he is making. He's already said that he understands that there is probably a draw somewhere. He's saying that his customer service experience was bad. They told him to buy the s3400 from them so it would be in warranty after he described his situation and when his s3400 died they didn't hold to the warranty they said would be with this new battery. He's not blaming XS for the battery being dead.
  9. It's sad to hear that you had such bad CS. Being on the fence of what batteries to get once I start building my system, thesp kinds of stories start to sway me.
  10. About to perform for the Lonestar Lemans race here at Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Hotter than a mofo with this uniform on.

  11. My heart stopped when pieces of the CD got sucked in there. I was like NO! NOT THE SUBS!
  12. Haven't been on in a while due to moving to my new building for the year. Good to be back

  13. Looks good! Subscribed to Antheny's Channel to help give him some support. Keep up the good work!
  14. Working from 12-4am is definitely on the top of my preferred work hours list. Girlfriend is defiantly not going to be happy about me accidentally waking her up at 4am
