  1. I believe eric meant put the high pass on.. and i think you either mean crossover or bass blocker? little thing that you solder inline with the positive wire?? Shouldnt be a problem as long as you have one of those..
  2. NICE!!! I currently have the core i7 920 processor so its already a drop in for me

    Ohm Load

Wire it like its shown above for each individual speaker (one coil + to the second coil -) but since you have 2 separate boxes what you're talking about is fine.. Using both outputs one for each speaker at 2 ohms and your amp will see a 1ohm load.
  4. Flipsid did you stop at taco hell/exxon in Chapin about 30 min ago 6:30 wed night?? My cousin works up there and said he saw sundown on the windshield and asked them bout it and the person said they had twelve eighteens in an explorer with alotta amps??? Just wondering if this was you i live in Chapin and commute to USC everyday for class/work.

  9. Good shit mayne! Just got done buildin mine about a month ago. 950w power supply Coolermaster HAF 932 full tower Core i7 2.66 overclocked to 3.4 Asus p6t mobo 4 gig ddr 3 1333mhz ram ati radeon hd4870x2
  10. I dont think rf would use bass boost knobs... Could be wrong, i dont have any experience with them. Just my standpoint with sundown amps.
  11. Kind of off topic but a good point, if you get into really large systems with like 4-5 batteries and you run it back to the front battery. The ONLY ground you have going from the battery bank to the chassis is from that front batt to chassis. In the end i think its more cost efficient (less wire) and safer (a ground for each, or at least every 2 batteries). Just a thought.
  12. My 1500D did it and my 3000D does it.. I believe i have read or heard it is to keep the subs from "popping" when the amp turns on. As far as i know it is completely normal
  13. It depends if your amp came with a bass BOOST knob or a remote knob. That pic shows a boost knob. For instance sundowns have remote knobs which the easiest way to put it, with the knob all the way up your subs see 100% what your amp gain is set to. When you turn the knob down it lowers the gain accordingly, so you're not using bass boost like a lot of amps have which is what can/does blow subs. Its like a governer if you will, letting you hold back the bass until you want it. The RCA knob is the same as a remote gain knob, the only diff is that with the rca one all the way down there is NO power to the subs, with a factory one (atleast the sundowns i have had) drop it down very low but there is still a minute amount of power going to them.
