To fix voltage drop is to produce enough current to keep the voltage up. Adding/upgrading batteries will help keep it above 12 volts but will be still drop. If you want 14volts with hardly any drop, you need to upgrade alternator, or add another one. If you don't mind the dropping but can live with it being at battery voltage, upgrade and add a battery.

I'll say this one last thing. DC is dealer based correct? Its hard for dealers to sell 100 different subs. DC isn't mainstream mass produced but still it produced for everybody. I don't know any company that isn't mass produced in this industry.

Yes, a 3inch coil BL and 1200rms would be a good match IOM.

A AQ1200d isn't quiet enough power for a pair BL's. I'd honestly go with a 18 Q or 18 BL.

IMO, I'd just save a few dollars up, and buy a good one. A hundred more dollars with a 100times better alt is well worth it. Ohio Gen, is good but costly. I've heard horrible things about Iraggi. Its possible to find a local place to rebuild your alt if you don't want to spend any extra money. I spend 100 dollars for a 200 amp, it didn't have great idle, but put out decently for the money.

Yeah, good batteries are expensive new. A Alternator would be cheaper IMO, than buying two new batteries.
