  1. I would use a 2k urethane primer that's what I always used and it works great. Fast build and it hardens like a fiberglass resin but its still easy to sand
  2. http://www.termpro.com/storefront/index.asp?Page=1 that's the TL You can buy from there
  3. I went to Installer Institute in Daytona FL learned a lot and had a lot of fun http://www.installerinstitute.com Also got a school open in California now
  4. There's one coming up in Tampa April 26 its like Riding Magazines show or something like that ill see if i can find details and post them I got a TL but I'm 2 hours south of Tampa
  5. If the BTL Stayed at 2.8 ohm which I know it didn't it would of had a big rise but any ways 120 volts at 2.8 ohm is 5142 watts so theirs a reference just to put that out there.
  6. slot ports dont have to wrap around it all depends on how long it has to be i would just build another box with a slot port
  7. I didn't read the build just looked though it. the ports looked like 4" circles so that is what i went off with the four ports now you only have 50 sq in port area. I think it said it was 2 18's so going off that you should have a min. of 150 sq in port area so that could be your problem. And for the different tricks and thing I have always seen it done with lower notes. I got 4 Fi BTL 15's on 8000 watts and can barely do a little one but the box is tuned higher for SPL. Best thing to do is build multiple box and until you find one you like
  8. you stand in the port kinda like mmats room of doom unless someone has a better idea i got 4 Fi Btl 15's and the the 2 amps and i want to put them somewhere in my shop as a bass room of some sort
  9. In the new shop I am opening I am going to build a bass tunnel you can stand in. It will have four Fi BTL 15's powered by two Powerbass XA-4000D's so it should be pretty loud. So I'm asking for help naming it I cant come up with anything catchy so I want to see what others come up with.
  10. last time we tried they said no cause it wasn't a factory option
  11. In the midst of building something like this with 4 15 Fi Fully Loaded BTL's on 8000 watts but in mine you get shut into a tuned hallway should be pretty sweet when its done. But the Room of Doom is on its own level playing 12 hz thing was fun to stand in.
  12. I have had both solo x and BTL's the BTL's are louder and move more air on the same power
  13. This happens because pioneer is the company that puts a diode on the ground part of the RCA's and sometimes if you unhook the the RCA's before unhooking the power to the amp it can send a voltage back up the RCA's and blowing that diode which causes you to loose ground. So by grounding the out side of the RCA plug it gives it new ground. This i was what i was told by a pioneer tech. It wont hurt anything if you do the fix it actually how it should be done internally.
  14. Box almost done also first numbers up with only 2 of the subs and 1 amp Closed up playing Danity Kane- Show Stopper Driver Window Down playing Danity Kane- Show Stopper
  15. When I was testing in my garage my buddy could here them at his house and he lives about a half mile away i am going to run wire into the doors the pioneers are temp till i build the door pods for the selenium's there nice and clear but not loud enough for me they where just temp but the 2 sets of components on 75 watts each cant even keep up with to of the Fi's i have in there now
