  1. I'll have a drink for us Sunday lunch wen i'm out on the trails! SMD rocks ass!!!
  2. What coils they got?? You gonna be running 2 at 2 ohms or load it down to 0.5 (If they are 1ohm subs)
  3. Personally i'd go an RF T2k. They're very thermal stable and reliable, and ya getting more power than rated. But you do save a fair bit on the SD and AB amps...
  4. Like the first ink, gettin same style sayin "Familie" on ma chest in a couple of weeks
  5. I'd go 2 FI BTL 18's tuned to 30Hz Walled, chuck all your amps and batts in the boot to make it look neat What amps are you running btw?
  6. I gotta 120Amp Bosch unit in ma patrol that defs helps compared to my 40Amp standard.... fit 10 finish Meh reliability 8 output... Need more, all H/O's are built for your yank cars The jeep still needs one, not gonna worry bout it for another month or two.
  7. He should've taken some hey. I think it would've really crushed his already dead confidence if ma mate whipped out the camera to take a pic!
  8. Well i was talkin with one of ma mates that owns ma local car audio joint on the weekend, and he had a funny story bout some noob that came into buy a sub for his sedan... The dude bought an RF P3 12" and questioned about a sealed box size for the sub, ma mate said to install it in a box relatively the same to the box the sub came in. So off goes special constumer to get bumpin... He comes back in a week asking why his sub sounds like shit. To ma mates suprise, the dickhead had just left the sub in the box, running it free-air, and ran the speaker wires into the cardboard box to get it pumpin! lol Does this dude win the award for biggest car-audio noob ever??!!
  9. This isn't a F/S thread either
  10. Ummm, it's probs not loud coz ya only really able to put out ~1500WRMS from stock alt and batteries. Elects is ya problem dude. and x2 on Pitbull
  11. I'd go Fi if you wanna hit low. DD's respond better to higher tuning...
  12. Look up dealer locations, they're a bit pricey. Cost bout $300 for a pair. But can take 125W RMS. Suits a T800.4 perfectly. My T800 does 127 each channel, so i guess others will be around this figure.
  13. Looks pretty good for ya first box man. Just give it a good clean up and it'll look shmick!
  14. Hertz HSK165 That's what i'm gonna be going! They are very very nice speakers!! What does your amp bench on 4 Ohms???
  15. And yeah, go Australia!! How many of us are there on SMD???
  16. Okies, i'll let ya have a little victory. But get back to me after ya finished high skool
  17. I'm just putting ideas out there. but the way i see it is power = energy/time. with energy being the kinetic energy ((1/2)(mass)(velocity)^2 to move the sub plus shear force from the cone moving through air (volume flow rate x time) velocity being 2 way excursion times (1/frequency) mass is the cone mass volume flow rate is how much of the cone area is moved per second time is (1/frequency) ... But maybe you're right and i been studyin too much today... I'll ask a lecturer tomorrow, i'm pretty interested actually!!!
  18. I've never heard of them... I say start with a quality 400-500W RMS 12" and some coax's running off ya head unit.
