  1. as on the website damp pro is 12" x 20" (1.67 sq ft.) overkill pro is Sheet size = 24" x 54" (9 sq. feet)
  2. damn that sucks... i was lucky enough to have decent sized holes so it wasnt that bad a couple cars i've done i've wished i could have been like mine
  3. lol yup most doors are a bitch but getting both inner and outer panels helps alot
  4. damn guys chill the fuck out.
  5. as far as the OP goes no thats not overkill. my entire floor front to back is a mimumim of 1 layer full coverage damp pro with spectrum covering it all. Overkill is my 6 layers of damp pro in the front wheel wheels (not including the layer on the inside) as far as the whole SPL deal goes every car is different. flex does hurt scores to some extent. but if you stopped all the flex in the car then most notice a decrease in spl. ive herd some usaci guys say they will only put it on the pass door bc the mic and that increases the score.... really what u need to do is buy extra. burp it put on once pice burp again and so forth until u figure out what works for ur vehicle. if it drops the score then yank it and throw it in the trash (depending on how good u clean it may or may not still be usable)
  6. cool ya just thought u might have had the wrong address. ken is usually pretty good at responding quickly but he must be getting busy again
  7. u may want to contact second skin directly they might be able to ship to canada or possibly provide updated phone info if numbers changed
  8. im not 100% sure what the numbers or specs on the second skin sprayer but to get a good texture you'll probably want it.
  9. bingo.... i actually got some free edead ue once. not much it was like a sq ft but after seeing it i had absolutely no interest in putting even that one sq foot in my car. Specs wise yes it was thicker then damp pro but the gray colored plastic they call foil was garbage the adhesive sucked and in general just comparing the 2 the edead was worlds behind. i tried to give it away but no one wanted it. in the end the person i gave it to pretty much threw it away
  10. lol if i put them in the rears thats because thats the only place to put them. I wanted to put them in the front doors but the door pod i have sorta screwed up that idea. So behind the rears they go. I'm going to need to take off the panels at some point anyway to change the crossover and when i do ill also install the pads. i just don't know when that is going to happen
  11. Yahhhh my bad i forgot all about that haha Is buying direct from SS the only option? no there are second skin dealers too http://www.secondskinaudio.com/dealer-locator.php also remember damplifier is comparable to dynamat extreme and damplifier pro is thicker and better. so doing apples to apples damplifier is 104.98 for 40sq ft
  12. if i get the chance ill put them behind my rear speakers and see how they do wont be soon thou
  13. sadly ive never had a chance to use mine
  14. well ya... Damp pro is mainly meant for vibration and firewall is mainly meant for heat. Both have some of the other effect but its really the best idea to buy either or depending on what you want and if you want both then use a combo of both
  15. damp pro does work against heat but not as well as firewall. it does work better then firewall as far as vibration dampening. if your looking for only heat then yes firewall or the thermal block would be my choice. if you need vibration dampening as well then id say something like 4 sheets of damp pro and firewall from there.... its just going to suck to put firewall on ur roof
  16. if you want to get firewall so u can use it on both cars then sure why not. but if your only putting something on the metal roof of the car then a mat product vs the liquid would be much easier. Just think of it like painting the roof of a house. you have to tarp everything off do multiple layers and wait inbetween. damp pro is simple prep the surface and stick it on
  17. define easier and define headliner. i put double layer DP for rattling and a layer of motormat pro on the roof itself. then a layer of heatwave pro on the foamy carpet "headliner"
  18. ya spectum on the headliner sounds like a bad idea. idk if youve ever sprayed the gun but it gets shit everywhere and if u put the spectrum on too think it will run. ive done alot with it on my floor but even on the sides its not nearly as forgiving. spraying it on the headliner would just be a pita
  19. lol just call and ask them. cant hurt
