they are chrome its just not tripple plated (less shiny)... honestly i like the tripple plated chrome but even thou im not that concerned about added weight i still want to go sorta fast so i opted out of it (they had the tripple chome version i would have just needed them to paint it black like the version i got) I was actually able to see them on friday and im very pleased
