  1. chodes chick is sorta hot
  2. lol jon... hell ya if you do it up siete then post up some pics
  3. the spectrum will seal the box better but as far as noise reduction mdf is pretty "dead" so u wont get any gain there
  4. ya dont get sludge just get the regular spectrum. since ive delt with both and sprayed both the spectum does have a pretty good texture coming from the second skin gun but not quite as good as the box spray. i don't know the exact formula but the box spray seemed alot like it was spectrum with the rubber pieces mixed in. im not sure if ken still makes the spl sludge but that was spectrum activator and the rubber. if thats the case i would get 2 gallons of the spectrum and a gallon of the rubber mix the 2 and make ur own ghetto box coating (should look pretty similar) oh and you guys are making me half feel bad. i threw away an old half gallon of the box coating a few weeks ago
  5. nah its something weird on the powersupply board. all the fets on the output side have been replaced (one was reading a lil funky so i paid to get em all changed) they should still be good. swapping fets on those amps scare most people thou its not easy
  6. it plays just not really 4000w. goes into protect at loud volumes
  7. Hey man, no not me. Tony Janke designed the 3sixty.1 and 3sixty.2 The 3sixty.3 is something totally different and neither Tony Janke or I had anything to do with it. My claim to fame at Rockford was the T15kW as well as various other amplifiers. ah shit my bad... too many tonys
  8. oh and i also have the metal behind the radio covered in second skin incase it touches the radio or rcas and i dont have an antenna plugged into the radio either
  9. one thing that will usually fix most whines... connect a ground wire (I use 16awg) from the radio to ground, radio the the eq (if there is one), then eq to amp ground (with a normal ground for the amp of course)... in other words go in a complete line. If I'm doing any sq vehicle, I run an extra wire with the remote for this purpose so there is absolutely no chance of noise. most whines are ground related... now there of course is the problem with running power wires with rca's or speaker wires, but I'm sure you know better than that. yes sir ill gladly post my ground list for you to cartique see if i missed anything thou. rcas were ran near speaker wire before power on the oppoiste side but now they are ran up the a pillar and on the roof. only "power" is dome light but i made sure to keep it so they dont come within 4+ in under the rear deck of my car is a ground d-block this has 2 1/0 runs to each battery(batteries in the trunk). each battery has a 2/0 ran to the "frame" of my unibody car and a run of 1/0 to the front, one to the case of my 2nd alt the other to the chassis ground of my second alt. second alt has a 2/0 chassis ground. 2 runs of 18g soldered to the radio harness ran to the dblock (twisted for good measure) a run of 16g per 3sixty.2 (2) 3 8g and 2 10g to the mids/highs amps off the dblock. sub amp has 2/0 straight to the battery and technically heatsink ground since the amp rack is metal and bolted to the trunk
  10. lol ask loki if he knows anyone who might have done that
  11. hey tony got a few quick off topic questions for you... you only designed the 3sixty.1 and .2 right nothing with the .3? and any advice on ground loop with a .2? my new rcas seemed to have helped but theres still a some alt whine
  12. that would be sick but doesn't the airbag only deploy from the sensors in front of the vehicle? depends on the car i know a few have some shit in the middle under the center console but ud probably have to hit it with a hammer to get the airbags to depoly
  13. ill sell you my T4k if your pockets are deep enough. it sorta works
  14. i woudl call up ss and see if they have any of the white firewall left. probably not but that would probably be the best situation
  15. lol my bad. i remember something like 13? or maybe 4? but idk
  16. hey jon you wouldn't know how many rust inhibitors spectrum has would you?
  17. is yoru sub meant to be played IB? when you say sealed it off what does that mean? i had some crazy sound like that i was unable to pin point and it ended up being a metal shield for the gas tank
  18. i wonder if the roller ive used was the same. I tried a rubber roller once and i didnt like it much compared to the plastic one i have.
  19. no offence but while they can make the price reasonable the product is looking to be better then damp pro so theres no way it can compete price wise with peel and seal. If mercades said they were coming out with a car faster and better then the SLS you wouldnt expect it to compete price wise with an aveo would you?
  20. depends on how much it rattles and where you put it in the first place
  21. from a personal stand point yes. I loved the spl tiles for certain areas in my car and i might buy some if i ever did any more personal sound dampening (idk where i could) from a shop stand point i dont think we would ever order it
  22. wow this jon guy seems to know his stuff... i wonder if i know him from somewhere? nah probably not
