if your roof is flexing that much then i would defiantly invest in alot of product. mine was crazy and i did about 2 layers of damp pro full coverage. Its not too terribly hard to take off the headliner but its not really something u want to fuck with twice

not trying to sound baller or anything but ive spent alot money on second skin myself. and my car is pretty quiet when its put together... BUT going from managable to tomb like is exponentially more expensive. and if you got bass something is going to get loose at some time. Hence why i recommened just the shop pack and speakers for the Odyssey. keep it simple plenty of midbass and it would be very quiet with just the damp pro.... something still somewhat affordable. For ken if hes throwing big bass then tomb like is sorta out the window too. so plenty to make it not rattle but not really over the top either. Most products overlap in what they do and people wont be as amazed by a tomb like car that has 10k worth of shit in it then a good very quiet car that has 1k or 1500

for the honda deck of choice (with highpass) and hertz energy speakers all the way around possible amp like a p400-4 if it can be fit somewhere. shop pack of damp pro around the whole vehicle with plenty behind the speakers as well as speaker tweekers. LLP on the floor if the current noise floor is sorta crazy but that would be optional for ken it depends on how crazy he wants to get, that lexus probably wouldn't be too fun as far as replacing the speakers BUT its not improbable. If its just bass id say DD 3500 12 and T1000-1bdcp. if everything then add a 360.2 T600-4, hertz hi energy 165XL and alot of fun. shop pak + bulk pack of damp pro, rattle pad or overkill on the rear hatch, optional speaker tweakers

again it depends on the goal your looking for and how big this "build" is gonna be

2 is way too much i would say 80sq or a shop pack would be optimal. if your doing this for bass the roof and that back tailgate is going to need alot trust me other wise you can probably do 40sq or so without the crazy coverage and get rid of some noise

how loud do you want it and what are you used to? do you have bass in the car right now?

sorta depends on the vehicle and box size but ya your tuning frequency or sometimes a little higher is what you "peak" normally is. But the downside of tuning lower is lower spl. there's a point in every woofers output curve where tuning a few hz lower makes the peak lower but it doesn't make that freq louder if that makes sense.

id say 35hz would be a good choice. 30 would give you more emphasis on the lows but i think the XXX speaks for itself so it wouldn't be too much of an advantage tuning lower just less high bass

what kind of vehicle? and what yr XXX? new style or older

idk what kind of boxes or what your dealing with but if you fiberglass the entire well and put a slated face to somewhat mimic that stock "cover panel" you would barely get enough space for 2 12s ported. an L7 shouldn't be sealed and it shouldn't be in a box with the airspace for a 6X9
