I went to get a box built for my He2s for a usaci comp because i wanted to see how i would place and i was offered to borrow a RE MT 15 and get a SPL box built for it... anyway im just going to run the MT off my T30001bd for a quick spl run but im not going to have many electrical mods just yet (ill have 2 of the big3 done along with a AGM deep cycle battery) So im wondering if it would help putting 2 marine batteries in my ride for the spl run? USACI allows 2+stock battery so im thinking i can run the agm i have as stock and the 2 marine batteries as well. My only concern thou is the marine batteries have a much lower cca rating then my current battery so im wondering if it would even help? anyway ill put the specs of the batteries i have and let me know what you would run NGT Extreme AGM = 750 cca Interstate group 31 marine battery = 600cca interstate group 34 marine battery = 550cca stock Lead Acid sealed group 34 battery = 600cca

carquest NGT Extreme.... AGM battery built by deka (same specs as their battery just rebranded for carquest) same rated CCA and CA is like 10 more then optima. Price was 129+10 core charge and tax for the 34 series battery but ive herd of a guy seeing the group 31 battery for 109 (not normally in stock so i dont know how they got the hook up on that) oh and a decka rep stated their battery will either compare or beat an optima yellow

im going to agree honestly adding 12 12s isnt going to add to the value of the car.... As much as i would say fuck it do it because it was his dream id be concerned with the family and the funeral costs more. If anything i would leave the system as is but cover the plain mdf with vinyl or something to match the woodgrain

what price are you getting on those optimas... i found out the carquest brand battery is built by decka and the specs are the same as optima (except the ca is higher, cca is the same)

btw ive recently herd the reason why hids melt housings is not because of higher heat but because the bulb is alot longer so depending on how close the plastic is to the new bulb it may melt

lol the whole point of the fuse is to protect the wire.... if the first one happens to some how magiclly not work (arc the power or something) then all the wire up until the 2nd one is fried so putting one right next to the 2nd battery as a back up is useless. If anything just buy quality fuse holders and fuses and you will be fine but if you want to spend money on a second one put it right next to the first

you dont need 2 fuses on the bat 1 to bat 2 line

run the wire from the alt to bat1 from bat1 to bat 2 then to the d block
