Dont get excessive amperage alternators, PERIOD. Anyways, get 2 260 amp alts or 240 amp alts from Dominick Iraggi. They have more output @ idle than the 300's, will cost less, etc.

Well...I had an RE 12.1 and it worked just fine when I pulled it out of my truck. I sold it to this kid, helped him hook it up and everything and it won't play for shit in his ride. I pulled it out, put in a JL 250/1 and that worked just fine. I'm seriously confused as hell. He has 2 dual 4 ohm type R's, so wired down to 1 ohm and it barely beats. I checked the RCA's, LPF and HPF, speaker wire...I'm seriously lost. Especially since with everything done up properly, the 250/1 works and the 12.1 doesn't.

I need atleast 8 300 Amp ANL Fuses and 8 1/0 Holders. 12-14 of each would be optimal. :^ Preferably Kicker too. I just need a decent deal and don't feel like paying so much for each one. If anyone owns a shop or something and can help me out, it would be greatly appreciated.

It'll just be something else for the puny alt to have to deal with. The alt probably won't be able to keep up still, so it will be draining your battery. Personally, I'd cough up the money for a new alt, big 3 if not already done and either a Monster or NSB 90 or bigger. :^

I've seen numerous BXi's blow @ .5 and other people have them be fine @ .5 besides the fact that they could cook eggs on them.

There's the "Dominator" series and the "Amputator" series for each rated alt. The only difference is one provides more amperage at idle. I paid $440 for my 300 Amp Alt "Amputator" Series. Wonderful alternator and couldn't be happier. Only con was that he said it was a direct bolt on....lol my ass. I had to bend the back mount out of the way because it wouldn't bolt in, but the alternator sits just fine with the other mounting spots. :^
