I hope this isn't a repost cause I found this video while on youtube that I figured some of you would appreciate. This guy is an amazing drummer on buckets, pots, pans, and pretty much anything metal that he can find. Check it out!!!

I have an 01 ZX3 and I'm not sure how similar these two are but I was messing around with the alt and didn't tighten the nut up enough and the alt wasn't charging. I got back under the hood and tightened the shit out of it and it started to charge again. It wasn't making a good contact so it wasn't charging. Maybe you need to check it again to make sure you put the wire back on tight enough.

More than likely the DD can get louder than the Btl, but each in the proper size box will work just fine. I'd probably go with the 9500 if you can afford it, but the Btl is a very solid daily/spl woofer. It's a hard decision, and I would say it depends on how serious you are about competing. If you go to a few shows then go with the Btl cause your main focus is daily, if you make 10+ shows a year then I'd say that you might want to go with the 9500. I've owned both woofers and the Btl is no doubt the superior daily sub. They sound awesome and get very loud. I had a single 12 in the trunk do a 143 off of 1800 watts tuned to 30hz.

I see from the video that your dome light still works and it hasn't fallen out of where it sits yet. Give it time and it will quit working and fall out. I ended up epoxing mine back into place and haven't had an issue since, but no dome light ftl.

Make sure it's a hatchback if you want less rattle. If you get a trunk be preparred for tons of rattle. I'd go with something like a Crx, Acura Integra, ZX3, Civic hatch, or even a Mazda MX3 if you can find a decent one. All of those cars get loud and have less rattle than a trunk car.

I agree that refurbed products are a go if they have a waranty with them. Especially a place like Db-r that refurbs Sundown amps. The amps that Chris fixes are as good as new, I wouldn't hesitate to buy an amp from him ever except the fact that Jacob is only an hour away from me Buy refurbs with confidence, but the only problem is that they usually only carry a 90 waranty. Usually if something happens it happens after 90 days and that goes with new amps too. It seems like just when something breaks it's right after the waranty has expired. What is it that your looking at getting from Crutchfield exactly?

It's close to .26, but from what I'm told it's more like .23ish. Jake actually hasn't got an exact number but like Earth said a couple of hund's aren't going to hurt anything.

Nice vids!!! I love the T5's for a mid level budget woofer. The only thing I don't like about them is that they only come in dual 2 ohm coils. I thought about getting a pair for the wife's car but they don't match the amp's impedence right. What amps are you running in the ride? Also what does it do on the meter?

I usually crimp and then solder my terminals. I've never had one come off either. I just prefer overkill like most of the people here. It's just an extra precaution to make sure that it's going to hold together.

Awesome man!!! Glad to see you went with sub back and port up in the car. Now put it on the meter and show people how loud that ZX3 can get.

Nothing nut great service for me as well from Fi. I've only owned a btl, but I would call and talk to Scott quite a bit and he was never too busy to talk. Their customer service is one of the best that I've delt with.

I don't see why 17" is not enough for a 15" woofer. The boxes I put 15's in usually have less on the face then 17". I usually try to put a 15" woofer in a box that is 16-16.5" on the face where the sub is mounted. If it were me I'd make that 15 fit.

Your Sundown decal will be fine. I've had mine on my car for over a year and had no issues with it.

The weather actually affects your frequency more than anything. Usually the warmer it is the higher the freq and the cooler it is the lower the freq. I'll search for a thread on Termpro that I was involved in about 2 years ago when this exact thing was discussed. I'd wall a single 15.

I have two brand new still in the box never used Clarion sw1051 10" subs that are single 4 ohm coils. I've been looking to get rid of these things for awhile now and I'll do a killer deal for you on them if you want. I'm sending you a pm now.

Active means that you don't use the crossovers that come with the component set and you use either an amp, deck, or seperate electronic crossover to seperate the frequencies with. When you just use the crossover box that comes with the comp set that is a passive setup. I'm running my Kicker RS65.2 comp set actively off of a Sundown sax50.4 and it sounds much better and cleaner than when I was running passively off of a Cerwin Vega Exl400.4

If money is an issue I'd go with the 4004, but the 8004 is definately the better choice. You can even use the amp's onboard crossover to run the comps actively if you wanted to. I'd actually reccomend that, but you have to be careful cause you'll lose your tweeter protection that way.

If you have enough of them you can recycle them to get your money back out of it. It's not going to be much unless you have about 20 or so.

The Kinetik 2400's are no where remotely close to the XS Power D3100's and those of you that are saying so are mistaken. I've seen actual battery swaps with a 2400 to a D3100 and the D3100 was 1.1 db louder on a burp. Each battery was brand new and were also put up against a Deka G31 and the Deka was .7db louder than the Kinetik 2400. Now if you don't think that performance is going to transfer over to a daily setup your wrong too. Same batteries on music and the Kinetik was dropping to 12.3-12.4 while the D3100 never dipped below 12.7 volts. There is a huge difference. Listen to Scottie when he tells you that a 2700 is a closer equilivent to a 2400, but the 2700 is still going to be the better bet for your money hands down. Team XS Power FTW!!!!!

The only thing that I'd be worried about is that it's a Dual. Other than that your good. I actually think that because it's in front of a vent putting out cool air that is a plus. It will help keep the components inside the screen cool and stop them from overheating. I don't see a problem with that at all.

I'd like to see you slam a mid 90's Tacoma. They are one of the best trucks ever made and you don't see too many of them dropped and done right. I'm sure if you did one it would be dead as hell and look badass too. It's something that I've always wanted to do, but I've never had the money for the project.
