Ask yourself one question. If she was gone tomorrow would you miss her? If you answer yes then I'd say that you might honestly want to consider making her happy. Women get pissed off and will leave your ass sometimes if you don't do things that they want. I know it's selfish, but do you want to look back and say "Damn, I really miss her and I should have asked her to marry me"? Even if you get engaged you don't have to marry her if you change your mind later. I just think that if you've been with her this long you must really love her and the two of you must go together well. I dated my wife for 4 years before we got married. We're almost through our first year of marriage and things couldn't be better. I couldn't imagine my life without her, and I'm not saying that because we have kids or anything it's because she means that much to me. If your woman is the same to you, you should think about keeping her along for the long haul. Don't lead her on and drag it out too long cause she'll get to a point where she thinks that you'll never ask her and that will probably be it for the two of you. Like I said, ask yourself if you can live without her and then sleep on it.

I don't even run a wall and my setup is 1.8db louder on the passenger side then it is on the driver's side. I let my wife drive the car sometimes just so I can listen to the car be louder. At first I always wondered why she would plug her right ear even though it does over a 151 on music and then I sat on the passenger side and found out why. It's like listening to a whole new setup over there. The highs sound a bit funny to me, but the bass is much louder and I love it. I need to get me a damn right hand drive vehicle

I never assumed that you were running a single crossover at all. It's just that if you have two mids in series on the crossover and two tweets in series on the same one the crossover will parallel the speakers internally and will result in a higher impedence than what it would if it were just a single of each tweet and mid is all I was trying to tell you.

I don't see anything wrong with it then. Each crossover should be fine then since it won't be running at a lower load then it normally would. You may actually have to turn the amp up in this case since you will be running at a higher impedence then what you would with a side off the crossover instead of the whole set.

There might be an issue if you run more power through the crossover than what it's rated to handle. What is the rms on the comp set? I wouldn't go over that if your going to run a whole set off of just one crossover. They should be fine, but just remember to adjust your amps to a lower gain level since you'll be running the amp at a lower impedence with a whole set on a single crossover. You may sacrafice some sound quality too since you'd be at a lower impedence. You could try one other thing though. Try wiring the mids and tweets in series before you wire them into the crossover so it doesn't run at a lower impedence. That should help you out a bit for the sound quality part of it, but I still wouldn't run more than what a single side of the comp set is capable of doing.

They recone subwoofers. They would put a recone on the sub so it is usable again. If I had to guess how much they would charge I would say around $80 or so just for the recone and I'm not sure how much they charge to actually do the recone for you. It's easy to do and can save you quite a bit to do it yourself. I'm pretty sure I could get my own parts to recone the sub much cheaper than what they would charge.

Sundown saz3000d can be had used for $550 all day long Sundown saz3500d can be had used for around $700 Sundown saz1500d's are all over the place for $300 used and for $400 new Sundown saz2000d is a bit more pricey at $615 new and you won't see a ton of people selling them used right now either I don't care what other company uses the same Zenon boards weather it be American Bass, Spl Dynamics, DC Audio, Atomic, whoever they may be they are still not the same as the Sundown amps. Why? Because Jacob's customer service is unmatched out there period! I don't care who you are a first time customer or a long time Sundown user he will take care of you and make you happy. There is no other smaller amp/sub manufacturer that attends more spl events too. So if this is something you will be doing he is the guy to talk to. Yes, call me a fan boy nut hugger if you want, but not only is Jacob my manufacturer of equiptment he is a friend that I have here in NC to talk to about the audio scene.

Those look very nice. I have a custom made 8" aeroport in my possesion right now that I am told was made in Puerto Rico. Any chance that you've ever made some 8" ports and they made it to the states?

Just make sure that the box is optimum for the 15's cause the last thing you want to do is put them in a crappy box. I'd say if you have enough room for 12ish cubes you'll be fine. You could even do up to 14 cubes and be good imo. I like to run my 15's in around 3.6 each for daily, but for spl it's right around 2.9-3 cubes for me. Is this going to be a wall?

So your planning on going from 2 btl 18's to 4 ssd 15's? I think that's a good choice. The ssd is a very very good woofer especially for the super low price tag. Also your going to have 4 of them which is 706sqin of cone area comparred to 508sqin of cone in the 18's. The added voice coils and extra motor force should allow you to be quite a bit louder even off the same exact amount of power. You'll be able to push the ssd's closer to their xmax and they should move more air. I think that it would be a great setup to have. I've always wanted a 4 15 setup again in my ride and I'd definately choose the ssd's for the job. Good luck!

This setup definately looks loud. It's moving a ton of air cause I don't even think I can get something to move that much in my car. I really wanna know what kind of TL numbers your getting out of it. I'm sure it's easily in the 150's. What's the truck tuned to?

Tulsa, and it's the gheyest thing that Db Drag has ever done. Wayne Harris has pissed off the majority of his competitors because they are located on the eastern seaboard and they don't think that they should have to drive over 15 hours for their finals. I could go on forever about it but it's just not worth it. Db Drag is retarded and dying after this season.

It's no big deal at all. I was just saying that since you said legal that ment in the kick cause you compete in Usaci. That's also pretty strange that your score is the same on the dash as it is in the kick. Mine is usually about 3.5db louder in the kick then what it is on the dash so that's the main reason why I was asking. I wanted to get an idea of what your dash score is so I can put it in perspective.

By legal you mean in the kick where they meter legal in Usaci. So correct me if I'm wrong that's not a dash score.

Really? Cause I've owned and used them both and the Nightshade shits on the level 4. There really isn't a fair comparrison and I'm not sure why they are even mentioned in the same sentence. The level 4 is no where near an spl woofer and is not nearly as loud as a Nightshade off the same amount of power. In a drop in comparrison in my car the Nightshades were .7db louder than a pair of level 4's.

I'm up in the air right now. I'm sure it will grow on me and I probably don't like it right now cause I suck comparred to last year. The more I play I get pissed cause I throw 3+ int's a game. I don't think that running the ball is too bad, but it could be cause I use the Panthers and Williams is a beast on this year's game.

The Nightshade gives him the ability to add more power down the road. If he only gets a Z15 then he's honestly at his realy safe limit on power right now. Like I said in my post I run maybe 1400 watts to each of my Nightshade's on music and can still bassrace 149.9's with them. I also plan on helping Vince build a box so it will be setup right.

Vince you will be fine if you run a Nightshade off of that amount of power. On music I'm not putting much more than 1400 watts to each of mine and well you've heard the car. I change a couple of things for a burp and that's why I make quite a bit more power, but I don't need all that for music. The only issue really is price. The Nightshade is 2X the woofer of the Level 4 and the Bl so it's obviously going to cost a bit more. It's just not really fair to put the other two in the category with it unless they were close in performance. Email Jacob @ [email protected] and talk to him about buying a sub directly from him. You may be able to save a little bit of money that way and get what you want. On the other hand if you wanted to save a few bucks and still get a badass woofer you could get a Z15. Jacob is blowing out the stock that he has right now so you may be able to get a very good deal. Not to mention that a Z15 is more at the same level as a Bl and Level 4, but I'd still be willing to bet that it is a tad better due to my bias

This thread is But only because it's so true. There are quite a few fanboys out there that will say that a certain sub is better than another with out any valid comparrison. I have ran all the subs mentioned as forum bonners and I happen to still like all the companies except one. Some of you know what company that is and I'm not going to say. I have reasons for my dislike and what not. I will reccomend a sub that I run or have run to someone that is looking for something particular cause more than likely if I'm reccomending it to them I had the results they are looking for.
