Well it seems you already have an amp, So I would buy anything JL and flip it on craigslist for a profit.

I can post pics tomorrow of how much you have to cut for the mids to fit where the speaker grill goes, also the screws I used for the mids were long enough to bite into the metal of the door panel, so it doesnt flex at all. But I should be getting my new speaker wire in tomorrow so I can post pics if you want, of the door panel without the mid in it. Also my Rainbows have a mounting depth of 2.4inches and where too deep with a 1/4 inch spacer and with a half inch spacer would of had trouble with the surround hitting the interior door panel.

I haz a car like joo, I mounted my Rainbow mids like this, and they still have plenty of midbass. Here is how they look in the doors You will have to cut some of the plastic off the door cover though at least I did. Edit: Also I did this since I ran into the same problem as you with the back of the mid hitting the door track even with spacers, and if I spaced it anymore the mid was gonna hit the door panel, and I didnt want it rubbin on the surround of the mid.
