  1. Ya what is it tuned too, also it may be theat the Fs of the subs is pretty low and that is why they where louder lower in the sealed enclosure.
  2. Or MECHMAN LOL, both have extremely great alts.
  3. First off on the 16V battery, that is a no no on a 12 volts system, you would have to buy a 16volt alt to charge it, second I recomended an alt first cause while you would probably be fine for a while with an upgraded front battery as well as a battery in the back, your stock alt isnt built to charge two batteries, not even counting two batterys that are gonna be tapped out, the reason I suggested a H.O. alt is cause they are designed to stand up to the stress of charging multiple batteries, as well as charging them much quicker than a stock alt could, at the time you would be fine running your system without a new alt, but from my exp. the alt life is shortened alot, when running multiple battery hight current draw systems, and the first question we all should of asked is what is your budget?
  4. LOL subs dont make watts amps do, I think you mean handle watts, I dont think any subs will handle that daily off the top of my head, off a burp yes, some subs that will take between 4000-6000 rms daily that I can think of, TSNS, RD Super Heavy Weight, DD Z series, and a few more I cant think of right now, but no sub out now will handle 15K. Edit: this little gem might handle like 13K daily, it handles 30K+ on burps no problem, from what I have read
  5. If you are gonna be running over 2K, a new alt would be first on my list of upgrades, but as far as good battery's at a good price, I would pm MECHMAN, he sells XS Power Batteries and his prices are great.
  6. If I donate can I get a custom motto or Whatever under my avatar like some others have LOL.
  7. The TermLab is considered the most accurate SPL meter, and is the one used for competition(usually), they are not cheap and you can get them from http://www.termpro.com/storefront/ the basic TL set up is about 650 bucks. Edit: Also note this is the Single Sensor Set-up
  8. I have been putting about 900 rms on mine for some time now, and mine are rated at 750rms, so you could probably put about 800rms or so on them and they would handle it no problem. And I couldnt find a dual 4 ohm version for the Soundstream.... I did however find a Dual 1 ohms version, but I also found that they recomend a 1.7 cubic foot per sub so I dont know if you would have to change your box for that. Here is the site http://www.lightav.com/car/soundstream/subs2006.html You have to scroll down a bit, for the specs
  9. Now Steve needs to put two of the T4000's in the Escalade for the mids and highs, and put that other T15K on the subs, then imagine how loud it would be, then change it from the 30K Caddy to the 40K Caddy.
  10. Future Lonely Problem Drinker??? LOL Edit: Check the Sig vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
  11. But you will catch the bug and think hey I want a couple of 18's and 5000+rms, heck if I had a TB I would do a huge system in it, I am already upgrading from 2 12's off off 1800 watts to 8 10's off of about 3600 watts, and I didnt think I was gonna upgrade either LOL. Edit: Also this is in an 03 Grand Am.....
  12. It was supposed to be out a few months ago, but something happened and it got pushed back, should be out before the end of the year though.
  13. I would personally go with the TB, more room for boom, and what does stock electrial have to do with it, your gonna need a H.O. alt once you get boom LOL.
  14. I was also think of recomending the SoundStream Tarantula sub but I cant find the box specs for it anywhere http://www.woofersetc.com/p5371/T510--Soun...s-Subwoofer.htm Also Kicker CVX, not sure is this site is legit or not but one think I know is my 12"CVX's get down, http://www.mobilesoundworks.com/ProductDet...ode=06cvx10%2D4
  15. I say the DC LVL3's, they are in that general price range, depending on where you live. Edit: Actually maybe not the specs say 1.5 ported, dont know how they would do in a slightly smaller box than that. The Fi SSD is rated at 800rms and does good in your box size, it is a little above you budget at 169 though.
  16. I say that 4 BTL's would be happy with one or two DAT 8.1's, and I think that a wall would be your only option to fit 4 18's you would need a minimum of about 20 cubic feet for the BTL's.
  17. This^^^^^^^^^^^^ I would like to trade my kicker zx.1500 toward a SAZ 3000 or 3500. Gonna need power for the LVL4XL's.
  18. Use this site, type what you are gonna say in the top box, copy the text in the bottom box. http://www.revfad.com/flip.html
  19. Has anyone heard of this sub, it looks beefy as hell and with the neo mags, I guess they are partnered with SoundDigital, also I have heard on a different site, that they have a few already in cars with single subs taking 30Kw+, so what do you guys know about this sub. Also here is the site where Murilo from SD posted a few pics of the line http://audioforum.termpro.com/topic/8/27363.html And here is the 12" version of the Apocalipse
  20. The reason that they did that is to prevent clipping, most people wont need a +15 Gain, unless you have like a .2 Volt preout, which most if not all are much above that nowadays, I looked at your HU specs and you have 4 volt Pre outs and from looking at the Sundown Max Preout voltage is 6 volts, so you should be fine with the +6 gain, and I dont think there is any easy way to mod the increase, you would have to open up the amp and would have to be very knowledgeable to be able to change it, but bottom line IMO you dont need a +15 gain, for you situation.
  21. That would work.... I looked at the specs on Kicker's site and the minimum ported enclosure is 3 cubic feet, personally I would aim for about 4 cubic feet, which after displacement would be about 3.5 or so cubic feet.
  22. Yes much too small, my 12" CVX's like just about 2.25 cubic feet per sub.
  23. Just a slight update Track Number 11 on this mixtape broke my clarion headunit.....made the internal amp come loose, to me this mixtape reminds me of the first time I heard Bone Thugs, as well as the first time I got a Jeezy CD on account of the bass. So Download if you would like a combination package LOL.
  24. On the speaker tower, the 2nd speaker from the right on the top row is missing a speaker grill LOL.
  25. Maybe the CD drive dont work, maybe the laser is bad.
