Ya that first one isnt really meant to be exactly musical, but more so of him telling two different stories and confusing you. Welcome to the Forum Maybe you will be able to get your own section in the Local Shops section, down near the bottom of the forum, so people will know that you are near them to help em out.

I dont think running it at half power would hurt it, as long as you set you gains properly, the reason people hurt subs running at lower power levels, is the amp they are using can not fully power it, so they crank all the gains to max, put on bass boost, and put all the settings on the HU to Max(to try to compesate for lack of power) and send a big dirty signal to the sub, while this may make the sub louder, it usually ends in the sub failing, So as long as you set your gains right you will be fine, the sub wont be at its full potential but you will still be happy for the time being. Also when clipping the amp is putting out a much higher RMS then what it is rated for, so dirty signal coupled with high power and you got a burnt sub. Also the AudioQue 2200D would run the BTL nicely.

I would maybe change it to "In SMD We Trust" or something along those lines, just so its not like worshipping one guy, but being together as a community of bass heads.

After reading a bit more, I believe that would be strapping them as the impendence after daisy chaining them is at 2 ohms instead of 1 ohms. What you would see, depends on impedence rise, however AQ does rated power, so before the rise you would be getting about 600-650 or so RMS per sub.

I believe they have a pass through, so you just connect your RCA's to the imput of the first amp, then run a short set of RCA's from the output of the first amp to the imput of the second amp.

I would say get a pair of AudioQue 1200D's they are 249 a piece, and I believe you will be very happy with them. http://www.audioque.com/aq/order.htm Also to Enemy, do you think that the L5's would handle 1200 rms a piece, I think they are rated at 600rms, I was just saying cause I have a ZX.1500 on a pair of CVX's, putting about 900 rms on each, and after a little while of some full demo beating they tend to get a little stinky.

Its to brace the box.

That has happened to me before, I have an 03 Grand-Am with a 5 cubic foot box, when I got my flat I had to take out the box through the opening of the fold downs seats, but the thing that sucked is I also had to unscrew my amp from the back of the seat where it is mounted, in order to get the box to slide forward enough to get the spair out, sucked alot, Now I Run the Run-Flat tires so no need for a spair for me

This is very true, everyone that see's steves vids, automatically want RF amps, and Fi Subs, and youtube isnt small so it is much easier to have a group of people responding to emails rather than each talking to one person at a time.
