  1. Okay maybe I missed it, if the Z15 is being discontinued, what's replacing it?
  2. I used to own a (Paperweight) Crunch Powerzone P1500.1 in my Lincoln and that thing was a joke, I replaced it with an old Memphis amp I had just to have some beat. I would personally go with Sundown but of the two I would rather use the IA.
  3. I have to say I am truly impressed with the cooling fan setup for your amps. You are absolutely right about the concern being that the system is moving air. I have an uncle that builds amplifiers for CB radios and he loved the setup. The fans he uses are bigger but he agreed it's not so much placement as making sure they are moving air. This is your Tahoe, your rebuild thread. Keep doing what you do!
  4. That is a rip off, My girl works for the vehicle inspection department here in Kansas. Some issues differ per state but when it comes to VIN numbers they are all the same. The Window etching is to make it easier to identify the vehicle, if your law enforcement/insurance has the right equipment. There are at least 5 areas of the average vehicle where they can locate a VIN. I don't see any real benefits with this service (unless you're the dealer)
  5. I could be mistaken but I remember this truck having some AudioQue 15's and some Memphis MOJO's (MCD4KW's) at one time. Not that it matters, I can't wait to see what it does with Sundown equipment
  6. What I personally like about Sundown is that you don't have to have "ideal" situations to get quality. I have probably had equipment for every major name over the past 15 years, and I am not knocking any one brand but I do know what's like to get an amp that says 1500 watts @ 1 ohm at 14.4 volts and find out what happens when your voltage is at 12.8. Or you get that "Titanic" of an amp that takes a small country to power it so you can get what it's rated at. Jacob keep up the good work.
  7. I can't wait to see the finished product, my brother has a Tahoe and I want to show him what SPL looks like in a Tahoe.
  8. So for a daily driver I could run 2 of the SA-12's with one of these?
  9. Take the head unit out, and it should have a sticker on the actual unit that will give you information (at least the model) and you should be able to go from there, but I will warn you most companies don't make it cheap to replace faceplates due to the fact that it would be real easy to steal a unit with the face removed and request a new face.
  10. by your signature I can see you're a dedicated Lanzar man but their products just aren't what they used to be. Honestly I wouldn't run either of those, but it's your money and your taste. I would think you would have a little more flexibility with the 2 AudioPipe's versus the 1 Lanzar. If nothing else you should be able to squeeze a little more out of the 2.
  11. Birthsheets are like drivers licenses, just cause I have one doesn't mean it's any good
  12. You really don't want us to tell you which one to buy because it may not be the right one, now I would personally go with the Fi BTL, it's nothing against Kicker (I actually run SoloBarics in my Camry right now) but the Fi seems to be a better subwoofer from what I've seen and heard, I would listen to them both, look at the pros and cons and then make that decision based on you and not us.
  13. Damn, that's crazy for a 600 watt sub. These will definitely be my next pair.
  14. actually I can do you one better than ear buds, a friend of mine took his home stereo out of his house and put in in his backseat, with the speakers, while he was waiting on his rebuild. Now his rebuild was nowhere near what Meade is going to do for the Tahoe, but the home unit in the backseat was truly ghetto.
  15. Since you have a trunk, I would try a wall first before switching out the subs. More expensive doesn't always mean better, I can honestly remember when a friend of mine had (4) 15" Super Pro's (blues, I think they are Pyramid/Legacy) and my brother had (4) 15" RF's and it was crazy that they had the exact same setup, vehicles and all except for subwoofers and the Super Pro's were just as loud but costed half as much.
  16. Very nice! so when is the new 10,000 watt Sundown Audio amp coming, sometime next April?
  17. Layaway would be lovely I'm just waiting to get this student loan paid down some
  18. I have an '01 Camry so I'm curious as to what your plans are.
  19. If you can find some on sale then go for it but if you are going to buy new wire I would recommend Knukonceptz wiring.
  20. It should be nothing more than buying a can and twisting it (usually) onto the correct pressure line on your A/C, there are two, a high and a low, if I'm correct it's the high pressure line. No offense (seriously) but it's as the easy as the instructions say on the side of the can. I've only done it once but it worked like a charm.
  21. Okay does anybody know how to get a hold of Fisher Customs? they are an authorized Sundown dealer and they are here in Kansas. I've sent multiple e-mails but no response.
