  1. I would get a d4 so you can run it at 2ohms. I'm sure it could take 1000 watts thermally but not mechanically.
  2. Find out your max dimensions first and it will be much easier. You just enter the height, width, and depth of the box along with port height, width, and length to get the airspace, tuning, and port area you want.
  3. Do a quick search on this forum for the "torres calc" and you will be able to plug in dimensions and design a box very easily. If you can fit it I would suggest 4 cubic feet net for the pair with 13 square inches of port per foot.
  4. Man that thing is really loud for the equipment it has, and it gets low too seems like a bandpass is the way to go for a wall.
  5. 1000 watts, you think it would sound better/louder than an FI SSD? I have no experience with the ssd so I couldn't say, but a SA 12 imo is the best you can get for under 200 brand new. It should get plenty loud on 1000 watts, but I would suggest running a slightly smaller box around 2 cubic feet. Alright thanks for the input, you think it'd still sound good at 33/34hz? cause ive read they like lower tuning around 27 or 28 Yes it will, I run my SA 12s in 2 cubic feet each tuned to 34hz and they get plenty low while still hitting the higher notes with authority.

  7. Yes they are rated 600 watts, how much power do you plan on running?
  8. That was very cool of you, I've seen those amps at the local shop and they aren't cheap lol.
  9. Oh I guess it's not park and pound I just saw singer post this..." this is at a FCBC show so their rules are different then MECAs park and pound. MECA is allowing doors open but the meter is farther away. In this format the meter is closer but the doors can't open." That still loud as hell though
  10. Just saw this posted on facebook, I'm not familiar with the format but I believe its park and pound?
  11. Unless you plan on upgrading your electrical which will be pretty expensive if you do it right, then I would suggest 2 SSDs on around 2000 watts. That is if you are set on going with Fi subs.
  12. I would suggest starting out with the Havoc then. That way you can power it with a SAZ 1500 or similar power, and you won't really have to upgrade your electrical system for that kind of power
  13. Yeah but it is temporary until I get more money. Why get a mayhem when I will upgrade it anyways? You know? I think it would be a better sub for you. If you are asking if a BOSS amp would be good for a under rated 3500w sub then I am guessing you are new to audio? 1 15" mayhem in maybe a 4 cubic foot box on 2500-3000 watts will be a lot louder than you think.
  14. Sounds like a AA Havoc or Mayhem would be better for you since you aren't going to find a cheap amp that can give a SMD the power it wants.
  15. lol I guess you really want to win that contest. Car looks sick though I've always been a fan of that low end monster. Did you notice any difference switching from the bc 3500 to the saz 3500?
  16. I Dont know bro but over 650 sold, in almost every civelized (and some not so civilized) country on earth.... probably not the first maybe though! i would have to look. Nope I pre ordered one back in June
  17. The 15 looks great, I've always liked the style dustcap on the VVX line.
  18. lol, I was really excited to get mine as well
  19. What are the specs on your box? SA 12s tend to get loud in larger boxes. I'm running mine in 4 cubes net with 50 square inches of port on a crescendo [email protected] daily, and they take it with no problems.
